This series consists of quick-disconnect thermocouples with a standard-size connector molded to the probe sheath.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The male connector is permanently molded to the probe sheath. The design withstands vibration, high temperature, and high pressure.

Sheath material choices include stainless steel, Inconel®, and Super OMEGACLAD™ XL. LCP and ceramic connector choices are available.

What is the minimum temperature which the tip of the TQSS-18G-12 is rated to? Can the tip be immersed in liquid nitrogen without damage? What is the accuracy at -196 deg C?
Thank you for your inquiry. We do not state a minimum temperature below 0°C (32°F). Testing shows the accuracy is no longer linear. If you want the accuracy, we suggest that you get a CAL-4 Calibration at an additional cost for temperatures below 0°C. Please contact us at temp@omega.com

Crystal Polymer) and the OSTW-T-F (Glass-Filled Nylon) are options for a standard female connector.

.Response time for thermocouple probes are based on the following Factors .
The probe diameter (the smaller the diameter the faster the response time) ,
If the probe is Grounded , Ungrounded or Exposed tip , and the application .
For the TQSS-18G-6 , the response time in air is 1.4 seconds and in water 0.6 seconds
