Supported Applications
The Omega M12LCP Series consists of thermocouple probes designed for temperature measurement with an integrated high-temperature molded connector. These sensors are configured for industrial process monitoring where a robust electrical interface is required alongside the sensing element.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within a process temperature range of -50 to 260°C (-58 to 500°F). The probes feature an IP65 Molded 4-Pin M12 Connector, providing protection against dust and low-pressure water jets. Measurement capabilities cover Type J, K, T, and E thermocouple calibrations.
Key Performance Parameters
- Temperature Range: -50 to 260°C (-58 to 500°F)
- Connector Rating: IP65 Molded 4-Pin M12 Connector
- Calibrations Supported: Type J, K, T, E
- Junction Types: Ungrounded (standard), Grounded (available via model modification)
Configuration Options
The M12LCP series is available in Standard and Metric sizes with configurable diameters, lengths, sheath materials, and element configurations. The standard probe length for listed models is 6" or 150 mm.
Diameters and Sheath Materials
- Standard Sizes: 1/8", 1/4"
- Sheath: 304 SST (Stainless Steel) or Inconel 600
- Metric Sizes: 3 mm, 6 mm
- Sheath: 304 SST or Inconel 600 (Type K only)
Configurable Options
The series supports the following modifications to meet specific installation requirements:- Junction Type: Change "-U" to "-G" in the model number for a grounded junction probe (no additional cost).
- Dual Element: Add "-DUAL" to the end of the model number for dual element probes (additional cost applies).
- Extended Lengths:
- For 304 stainless steel sheathed probes: Change the length code (e.g., "-0600") to the required length per inch.
- For Type K, Inconel 600 sheathed probes: Change the length code to the required length per inch for Standard sizes or per 25 mm for Metric sizes.
- Accessories: M12CM-EXTT-K-R-F-3 extension cable is available separately.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the series are distinguished by thermocouple calibration, sheath material composition, and dimensional standards. The model number structure follows the format: M12LCP-<CALIBRATION>-<DIAMETER>-<JUNCTION>-<LENGTH>. For example, a Type K probe with 304 SST sheath, ungrounded junction, and 6" length is designated as M12LCP-KSS-1/8-U-0600.
Material Distinctions
- Type J: Available with 304 SST sheath in Standard (1/8", 1/4") and Metric (3 mm, 6 mm) sizes. Inconel 600 is not listed for Type J.
- Type K: Offered with both 304 SST and Inconel 600 sheaths across Standard and Metric diameters.
- Type T & E: Available with 304 SST sheath in Standard (1/8", 1/4") and Metric (3 mm, 6 mm) sizes. Inconel 600 is not listed for these calibrations.

is there anyway to find the cold junction temperature for the k type with m12 connector , 12 inch probe length .250 diameter ? I have looked in the manual and spec sheet already. any help would be great. thanks
The entire probe can be used -50 to 260C including the molded connector. The probe itself the metal portion only can be used down to -200C.
