Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series TSF is a thermocouple limit control designed for gas ovens and burners. It provides audible alarm status alongside relay output to manage temperature limits in industrial heating processes.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The controller accepts Type J, K, or S thermocouples with measurement ranges of 32 to 999°F (0 to 700°C) for Type J and 32 to 999°F (0 to 999°C) for Type K or S. Accuracy is specified as ±1% FS with a resolution of 1°. The unit operates in ambient temperatures from 32 to 150°F (0 to 65°C) and can be stored between -4 to 176°F (-20 to 80°C). Power consumption is rated at 4 VA. The front panel carries an IP64 (NEMA 3R) rating.
Configuration Options
The Series TSF offers configurable power supplies and display units across its model range, including:
- Power Supply Options: Models are available for 115 VAC, 230 VAC, 12 VAC/VDC, or 24 VAC/VDC depending on the specific part number.
- Display Units: Configurable to display temperature in °F or °C based on model selection (e.g., TSF-4010 for °F/115 VAC; TSF-4021 for °C/230 VAC).
- Output Signal: SPDT relay rated 16 A @ 240 VAC resistive, with a horsepower rating of 1 HP.
- Control Logic: Supports ON/OFF control types with selectable automatic or manual reset functions via the front panel button or an external contact.
The controller features nonvolatile memory backup and includes programmable parameters such as setpoint (SP), differential/hysteresis (r0, r1 to 99 Degrees), alarm delay (c0, 0 to 999 Seconds), and probe response rate (P6: 8 sec down to 1 sec). Compliance certifications include CE, FM Approved, cURus.
