The OM-EL-USB-2-LCD is a standalone data logger that measures and stores up to 16,379 relative humidity and 16,379 temperature readings over 0 to 100% RH and -35 to 80°C (-31 to 176°F) measurement ranges. The high contrast LCD can show a variety of temperature and humidity information.
At the touch of a button, the user can cycle between the current temperature and humidity, along with the maximum and minimum stored values for temperature and humidity. In addition, logging and alarm status is shown using two high intensity LEDs. The data logger is supplied with a long-life lithium battery, which can typically allow logging for up to 1 year.
The user can easily set up the data logger and download logged data by plugging the unit into a PCs USB port and using the supplied Windows software. Data logger parameters that can be set up include data logger name, °C or °F temperature units, logging rate (10 sec, 1 min, 5 min, 30 min, 1 hr, 6 hrs,
12 hrs), high and low alarms, immediate, delayed or push-to-start logging, display off, on for 30 seconds after button press, or permanently on, and data rollover (allows unlimited logging periods by overwriting the oldest data when the memory is full). Downloaded relative humidity, temperature and dew point data saved in text format can be graphed, printed and exported to other applications for further analysis.

really great. nice and small and easy to use. the only issue is replacing the batteries. the tab to push down to separate the body is the weak point. this can break and then the 2 pieces will not stay together. a little tape is needed to keep the pieces together

Works great.
Data logger with great features. Incredibly flexible range of sampling rates and the software plots data for you. Paints a great picture. I am a homeowner with a humidity problem and this is a great tool to help understand the source. I have already recommended it to two HVAC professionals. Bob Schaale at Omega was very helpful by recommending the right product

Are these data Loggers calibrated when received and how do you verify the calibration?
To order these units with a NIST certification you would order OM-EL-USB-2-LCD-NIST or OM-EL-USB-2-LCD-PLUS-NIST. To verify the units you would need a humidity / temperature chamber, unfortunately, we do not sell those. Please email us at das@omega.com if you need any further assistance. Thank you.

Is this compatible with a mac? Is it possible to print charts ?
The software requires Windows operating system 7 thru 10 it is not compatible with MAC operating system. The software is basic the best option is to export the data file to Excel and create graph from Excel.

Manual for OM-EL-USB-2. Is there one available? I only see one for OM-EL-USB-1 How would I change the battery?
Hi Chuck74,
Thank you for the inquiry. Link to manual for this model;
https://assets.omega.com/manuals/M4218.pdf
To access and change battery;
- remove protective cover on the USB connector
- the light grey body pulls apart from the dark grey body. You can press in detents lightly to help with removal.
Best regards
