Supported Applications
The Omega PHE-6510B Series consists of submersible flat surface pH/ORP electrodes designed for use in drums, open tanks, flumes, and streams. These sensors feature a flat sensing element surrounded by a porous polyethylene reference junction intended to minimize fouling.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series supports process temperatures up to 87°C (190°F) for CPVC body construction and up to 100°C (212°F) for PVDF body construction. The electrodes utilize a flat sensing surface design with a porous HDPE junction.
Configuration Options
The PHE-6510B Series is available in multiple configurations defined by measurement type, material of construction, and special service options:
- Measurement Types: pH (PHE) or ORP (ORE).
- Housing Materials: CPVC or PVDF.
- Special Options: “-HF” for fluoride resistance, “-LC” for low conductivity applications, and “-GL” ground loop option available at additional cost.
Mechanical installation utilizes a ¼ turn quick disconnect. The cable assembly cap features a ½ MNPT thread to connect to a coupling and support pipe for mechanical mounting and cable protection. Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) is offered as part of the required mounting assembly, with sensor options including PT100 (100 Ω Pt RTD), PT1K (1000 Ω Pt RTD), TH700 Series 700 thermistor, or R3K (3000 Ω Balco).
Wetted materials include CPVC, PVDF, porous HDPE junction, pH glass, platinum sealed in glass, FKM O-rings, and EPR gaskets. The electrical connection is a BNC receptacle.
Key Product Differences
The series distinguishes between electrode types (PHE for pH, ORE for ORP) and body materials (CPVC vs. PVDF). Model numbers follow the pattern PHE-6510B Series - <ELECTRODE TYPE> - <MATERIAL> - <OPTION>. Mounting assemblies are ordered separately from electrodes, with model codes such as PHEH-65-10 (CPVC without ATC) and PHEH-65K-10 (PVDF without ATC). Materials of construction for the electrode and mounting assembly must match. Temperature compensation is not required with ORP electrodes.

Does the PHE-6510B come with o-rings and washer or is it ordered separately as a kit?
Thank you for your inquiry. The o-rings for this pH probe are included and not sold separately.

What do you recommend for cleaning the PHE-6510B pH probe? A little detail on best method for cleaning the probe that won't damage it would be great. We are measuring a high pH waste water from a food processing plant and the probe scales up very quickly.
Thank you for your inquiry. The best cleaning solution is simply soap and warm water that will dissolve the scaling buildup and use a non-abrasive cloth or brush if it is done manually.

How do I determine if a probe is bad? What should the mV readings be for pH 4, pH 7, and pH10 solution?
Thank you for your inquiry on the pH probe. The mV for a pH of 7 is ZERO, for pH of 4 @25C, is +177.5, and for pH of 10 @25C, is -177.5, as a measurement to determine if a pH probe is bad. Also, there is a way to rejuvenate it by taking 1 part of HCl (or white vinegar or Muriatic Acid) to 9 parts of water and let sit for 5 minutes and handle with care to rinse and re-calibrate to see if it shocked back to measuring pH again. It is temporary or a short term solution untl the pH probe is replaced.

what pH controllers can i use this probe with? We currently are using PHCN-201 and they are showing as discontinued. Thanks
Thank you for your inquiry. If you have a pH probe with a standard BNC metal twist lock connector, then, a suggested pH controller will be the PHCN-37.
