The Omega ARMT0-2 Series consists of lightweight oil immersion heaters featuring an integral thermostat and a rugged two-element design. These units are engineered for heating lightweight oils, utilizing lower watt densities to accommodate this specific media type.

Operating Conditions & Performance
The series provides three distinct temperature control ranges via the built-in thermostat: 0 to 100°F, 60 to 250°F, and 200 to 550°F. Power ratings span from 1.5 kW to 6 kW, with electrical supply options of 120, 208, 240, or 480V, 1 Phase.
- Watt Density: Ranges from 23 W/in² to 26 W/in² depending on the kW rating.
- Sheath Material: Premium Grade Steel with a diameter of 1.2 (0.475) in for the heating elements.
Configuration Options
The ARMT0-2 Series is configurable across enclosure types, temperature ranges, and insertion lengths to meet specific installation requirements.
Enclosure Options
- E1: General Purpose Enclosure. Stem length: 17 (6 11/16) cm; Overall length varies by model dimension B plus 17 cm.
- E2: Moisture Resistant / Explosion Resistant Enclosure. Designed to provide explosion resisting containment of electrical wiring per National Electric Code guidelines. Stem length: 21.9 (8.625) cm; Overall length varies by model dimension B plus 21.9 cm.
Process Connections & Electrical
- Fitting: 2 NPT Steel Fitting for immersion installation.
- Conduit Hubs: Two (1.5) NPT conduit hubs provided, with one side plugged on the E2 enclosure type.
Model Selection
The model number format follows ARMT0-<kW>-<Enclosure>-<Temp Range>-<Voltage Designation>. Insertion length (Dimension B) varies by power rating, ranging from 30 cm (11¾ in) for the 1.5 kW unit to 121 cm (47¾ in) for the 6 kW unit.
Key Product Differences
- E1 vs. E2 Construction: The primary distinction is the enclosure rating and stem length. E2 units feature a longer stem (21.9 cm versus 17 cm) to accommodate moisture-resistant or explosion-resistant design features.
- Voltage Designation: Model numbers require a voltage suffix: /120, /208, /240, or /480. Note that 6 kW models (ARMT0-2605) are designated with double asterisks in the source table and support only 208, 240, or 480 Vac.
- UL Listing Status: Heaters configured for the 200 to 550°F temperature range are not UL listed. Other configurations carry UL and CSA approvals as applicable.
