Supported Applications
The Omega PGT Series Pocket Test Gauges are designed for general-purpose pressure testing. The series features a polished stainless steel construction and is intended for use with clean, dry, non-corrosive gases only.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PGT-30 series provides an accuracy of 0.5% FS across its measurement ranges. These gauges offer 150% Overpressure Protection and utilize a stainless steel movement with a 316 Stainless steel element. The dial features a white background with a mirrored band, and the pointer includes an adjustable knife-edge tip for precise reading.
Configuration Options
The series is available in multiple pressure ranges to accommodate specific testing requirements:
- Dial Diameter: 76 mm (3")
- Process Connection: ¼ NPT
- Housing Material: Polished stainless steel
- Wetted Materials: 316 Stainless steel element and movement
- Measurement Ranges (psi): 0 to 15, 0 to 30, 0 to 60, 0 to 100, 0 to 150, 0 to 200, 0 to 300, 0 to 400, 0 to 600, and 0 to 1000
- Options: Polished Stainless Steel Cover Included
Note: The source documentation indicates these gauges cannot be oxygen cleaned.
Key Product Differences
The PGT-30 series is distinct from the related Omega PGL Series Low-Pressure Diaphragm Gauges. While both share a ¼ NPT connection and are limited to clean, dry, non-corrosive gases, they differ in construction and performance:
- PGT Series (This Page): Features a 76 mm (3") dial, stainless steel movement/element, and 0.5% FS accuracy.
- PGL Series: A separate series featuring a smaller 64 mm (2.5") dial, brass movement with a bronze diaphragm element, and 2-1-2 ANSI Grade A accuracy (defined as 2% first 10%, 1% middle 80%, 2% last 10%).
