Operating Conditions & Performance
The LC501 series delivers high-precision performance calibrated at five points in compression: 0%, 50%, 100%, 50%, and 0%. Key electrical specifications include an excitation voltage of 10 Vdc (maximum 15 Vdc) and a nominal output signal of 3 mV/V ±0.25%.
Performance characteristics are defined as follows:
- Linearity: ±0.03% FSO
- Hysteresis: ±0.05% FSO
- Repeatability: ±0.02% FSO
- Zero Balance: ±1% FSO
The operating temperature range is -34 to 82°C (-30 to 180°F), with a compensated temperature range of 16 to 71°C (60 to 160°F). Thermal effects on zero and span are ±0.001% FSO/°F (±0.0018%/°C). The series supports safe overload up to 150% of capacity and ultimate overload up to 300% of capacity.
Configuration Options
The LC501/LC511 family offers configurable electrical connections, construction materials based on capacity, and a range of mounting accessories. Standard models (LC501) feature a 4-conductor shielded cable measuring 4.6 m (15'), while connector-style models (LC511) utilize a 6-pin DT02H-10-6P or equivalent interface.

Examples include LBC-012 for 100–5,000 lb, REC-034M for LC501/511-10K, and metric equivalents such as MLBC-M24 for LCM501/511-10K. Base plates are available in nickel-plated carbon steel or stainless steel (e.g., BP-10-SS).

The series is divided into standard and metric model families, distinguished by capacity units and thread specifications.
- LC501/LC511 (Standard): Capacities from 100 lb to 30,000 lb. Threaded mounting holes vary by range: ¼-18 UNC for lower capacities up to ½-14 UNC and larger threads such as M24 x 2.0 or ¾-16/1-12 depending on the specific model row.
- LCM501/LCM511 (Metric): Capacities from 25 kgf to 10,000 kgf. These models utilize metric thread sizes including M12 x 1.75, M20 x 1.5, and M24 x 2.0.
The LC511/LCM511 variants are specified with a twist-lock connector interface rather than the standard cable lead found on LC501 models. Both series include NIST-traceable calibration data and RoHS compliance.

Can the load cell be used to measure the force in the reverse direction (i.e. tension) as well? We have to mount the cell upside down, does it work in that configuration?

The beam low cell comes calibrated in One Direction However it can measure in tension or compression.

What is the Waterproof rating of this device?
The environmental rating for the LC501 is IP40. It is not waterproof
