Supported Applications

The Omega PR-26SL series consists of spring-loaded Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) sensors designed for installation in thermowells with a 0.260" bore diameter. These probes feature an adjustable self-gripping spring mechanism to accommodate shorter thermowell depths and ensure sensor contact.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The PR-26SL series operates within a process temperature range of -50 to 500°C (-58 to 932°F). A maximum operating limit of 250°C (482°F) applies at the connector. The sensors utilize Pt100 elements with Class A accuracy per IEC 60751, defined as ±(0.15 + 0.002*t)°C where "t" = temperature in °C regardless of sign.

Configuration Options

The series is configured with M12 A-Coded Male connectors and offers a selection of thermowell stem lengths to match specific installation requirements. Standard configurations include 4-wire, Class-A Pt100 RTDs available in the following documented stem lengths:

• PR-26SL-3-100-A-0250-M12-1: 2½"
• PR-26SL-3-100-A-0400-M12-1: 4"
• PR-26SL-3-100-A-0600-M12-1: 6"
• PR-26SL-3-100-A-0900-M12-1: 9"
• PR-26SL-3-100-A-1200-M12-1: 12"
• PR-26SL-3-100-A-1500-M12-1: 15"

The series supports custom stem lengths up to 24" by modifying the model number (e.g., "1250" for 12½") and pricing based on the next longer sensor. The probes are RoHS compliant.

Wiring Configurations

The standard wiring arrangement is indicated by the suffix "-1" in the model number (e.g., PR-26SL-3-100-A-0400-M12-1). An alternate wiring arrangement is available at no additional cost by changing the final digit to "-2".
