Series-SVP
Solenoid Valve, 0-24 Vdc, Flow Modulation for Gases/Liquids, NC Shut-off
- Controls flow in proportion to a 0–24 V DC input signal - delivers exactly the flow needed, not just ON/OFF
- Constructed from 316/416 stainless steel and fluor-elastomer seals; supports both gases and liquids for versatile process use
- Normally-closed design with tight shut-off when de-energized; rated up to 500 psig supply pressure and –40 °F to 174 °F process temperature
- Compact ¼″ compression fitting connection and low current draw (~400 mA) make it ideal for high-precision systems or tight-space installations

Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series SVP Proportioning Solenoid Valve is designed to control or regulate flow in proportion to a variable voltage input. Unlike standard on/off solenoids, this unit opens proportional to the applied voltage, delivering precise flow modulation for gases and liquids. Documented applications include process control, chemical mixing, high tech manufacturing, and laboratory testing.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series SVP operates with a 0-24 VDC input signal and features a normally closed (NC) design that provides tight shut-off when de-energized. The valve supports process temperatures from -40 to 174°F (-40 to 79°C) and ambient temperatures from -40 to 130°F (-40 to 54°C). It is rated for a maximum pressure of 500 psig (34.45 bar) with a maximum differential pressure of 50 psid (3.45 bar). The unit draws a maximum operating current of 400 mA.
Configuration Options
The series is available in four stocked models, each defined by orifice size and flow capacity:
- SVP-1: 0.020 (0.51) inch orifice; Cv 0.009.
- SVP-2: 0.040 (1.02) inch orifice; Cv 0.033.
- SVP-3: 0.055 (1.40) inch orifice; Cv 0.055.
- SVP-4: 0.063 (1.60) inch orifice; Cv 0.068.
All models feature a 1/4" compression fitting for process connection and male spade type electrical connections. Wetted materials consist of 316 and 416 stainless steel with Fluoroelastomer (Viton®) O-rings. Maximum flow ratings are based on 10 psig (69 kPa) inlet pressure and atmospheric exhaust.
Key Product Differences
The primary distinction between Series SVP models is the orifice diameter, which directly determines the Cv value and maximum flow capacity for air and water. The series maintains consistent electrical specifications (0-24 VDC input), process connection type (1/4" compression fitting), and material construction across all four variants.
