Supported Applications
The Omega MSS Series provides snap strips for mounting miniature MPJ panel jacks. This series serves as an alternate mounting method when two or more miniature panel jacks are to be installed in a row, requiring only a single rectangular opening to mount any even number of connectors.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The MSS Series snap strips are constructed from black nylon. The assembly accepts all calibrations of MPJ connectors. No explicit technical specifications regarding accuracy, response time, or environmental ratings beyond mounting dimensions and model numbers are provided in the source documentation.
Configuration Options
The series is configured by the number of positions required for a specific installation. Model selection follows the pattern MSS-<Number of Positions>, such as MSS-06. The available configurations include:
- MSS-02: 2 positions; cutout dimensions 20.1 x 24.9 mm (0.79 x 0.98 inch)
- MSS-04: 4 positions; cutout dimensions 20.1 x 53.3 mm (0.79 x 2.10 inch)
- MSS-06: 6 positions; cutout dimensions 20.1 x 82.0 mm (0.79 x 3.23 inch)
- MSS-08: 8 positions; cutout dimensions 20.1 x 110.5 mm (0.79 x 4.35 inch)
- MSS-10: 10 positions; cutout dimensions 20.1 x 139.2 mm (0.79 x 5.48 inch)
- MSS-12: 12 positions; cutout dimensions 20.1 x 167.6 mm (0.79 x 6.60 inch)
Dust Caps (MPJ-CAP-12 pkg of 12) are available as an option to keep the panel jack connector input clean when not in use.
Key Product Differences
The primary distinction within the MSS Series is the number of positions, which dictates the overall length and required cutout dimensions. The aluminum panel and miniature connector jacks shown in documentation are not included with the snap strip; SMP connectors are also not included.

Are the metal panels themselves still available in various sizes, either fully assembled or unassembled? I'm not finding them on the site but we're using previously-ordered panels in everything from 6 to 120 jack capacities.

The maximum temperature for the MSS snap strips is 425F.
