Supported Applications

The Omega PX920 series consists of Silicon-on-Sapphire (S.O.S.) pressure transmitters engineered for demanding process and industrial applications. These rugged units are designed to provide long-term reliability in environments requiring high stability, low drift, and extended service life.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The PX920 series utilizes S.O.S. technology with a custom IC amplifier to achieve an accuracy of 0.2%. The transmitters are rated for measurement ranges spanning from 30 inHg vacuum (PX920-30VACI) up to 15,000 psi (PX920-15KGI), or metric equivalents ranging from 0.4 bar to 1,000 bar. The series is specified for use with harsh industrial chemicals and features a high shock and vibration rating.

Key performance attributes include:

  • Accuracy Class: 0.2%
  • Measurement Ranges (psig): 30 inHg to 0, 0-5 psi through 0-15K psi.
  • Enclosure Rating: NEMA 4 (IP65)
  • Approvals/Certifications: NIST and CE

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable pressure ranges to match specific process requirements. The standard construction includes a stainless steel housing with wetted parts made of Stainless Steel and a Titanium diaphragm.

  • Process Connection: ½ male NPT pressure port.
  • Electrical Connection: PG9 cable gland and internal terminal block electrical connection.
  • Output Signal: 4 to 20 mA.
  • Housing Material: Stainless Steel.

The series supports easily accessible zero and span adjustment for simplified setup and recalibration. Metric ranges are available upon consultation with engineering.

Available Ranges (psig)

  • PX920-30VACI: 30 inHg to 0
  • PX920-005GI through PX920-1KGI: 0 to 5 psi up to 0 to 1,000 psi.
  • PX920-1.5KGI through PX920-15KGI: 0 to 1,500 psi up to 0 to 15,000 psi.

Compatible Meters

The series is compatible with DP41-E, DP25-E, and DP24-E meters. Note that the PX920-15KGI model requires a 4-digit meter (DP25-E* or DP24-E*).

Key Product Differences

Variants within the PX920 series are distinguished primarily by their pressure range and output configuration. The standard ordering format follows the pattern PX920-<RANGE>GI, where the suffix indicates the specific range (e.g., 1K for 1,000 psi). A vacuum variant is available as PX920-30VACI.

All listed variants share the same core construction: a stainless steel housing with NEMA 4 (IP65) rating, PG9 cable gland electrical connection, and a ½ male NPT process port. The wetted materials remain consistent across ranges with Stainless Steel parts and a Titanium diaphragm.
