The Dwyer Series BT15S/BT20S Sanitary Bimetal Thermometers are designed for sanitary process applications in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. These instruments provide direct connection to a 1-1/2" or 2" sanitary connection.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series offers temperature measurement ranges of -40 to 160°F, 0 to 250°F, 50 to 300°F, and 50 to 550°F. Accuracy is specified as ±1% with a resolution of 2° (depending on range). The thermometers are rated for process temperature limits up to 800°F (427°C) at the stem and 200°F (93°C) at the head.

Configuration Options

The series is configurable across dial sizes, clamp dimensions, stem lengths, and connection orientations. Key specifications include:

• Dial Size: 3" or 5" with a glass lens.
• Housing Material: 316 SS.
• Wetted Materials: 316/316L polished SS.
• Process Connection: Standard configurations feature a 1-1/2" or 2" sanitary clamp; 1.5" clamp sizes are also available.
• Stem Lengths: Available in various lengths, including documented options of 2.5" and 4.5".
• Connection Orientation: Back connection is standard; for bottom connection, add 'B' to the end of the model number.

The instruments feature an external reset mechanism that allows field calibration.
