Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series RSME Room Status Monitor is designed for low differential pressure applications requiring stringent monitoring and alarming. The device supports positive or negative pressure configurations in clean rooms, hospital isolation rooms, laboratories, and vivariums.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series utilizes a piezoresistive pressure sensor with service compatibility limited to air. Pressure limits are rated at 1.5 psig. Accuracy is specified as ±0.5% RSS (includes non-linearity: ±0.49% BFSL, hysteresis: ±0.05%, and non-repeatability: ±0.05%) or ±1% RSS (includes non-linearity: ±0.99% BFSL, hysteresis: ±0.05%, and non-repeatability: ±0.05%), after 1 hour warm-up period.

Ambient temperature limits are 32 to 122°F (0 to 50°C). The thermal effect is ±0.02% FS/°F (includes zero and span). Power requirements are 24 VAC/VDC with a maximum power consumption of 2.64 W.

Configuration Options

The Series RSME features a complete system design with a touchscreen graphical user interface for access to pressure, humidity, temperature, air change, security, door status, calibration, and alarm setup. The display is a 4.3" (10.9 cm) color TFT LCD, dimmable; 480 x 272 resolution.

Available measurement ranges include:

• 0 to 0.5 in w.c.
• 0 to 1.0 in w.c.
• 0 to 2.0 in w.c.
• -0.5 to 0.5 in w.c.
• -1.0 to 1.0 in w.c.
• -2.0 to 2.0 in w.c.

Process connection is barbed, fitting 1/8" and 3/16" (3 mm and 5 mm) ID rubber or vinyl tubing. Electrical connections utilize a removable terminal block. The housing consists of an ABS UL 94 V-0 back with a PMMA window front carrying an IP65 rating.

Inputs include two user-selectable channels supporting 4-20 mA, 0-5 VDC, or 0-10 VDC; one digital input for door status; and USB type C used for cloning programming. Outputs consist of one digital output (DO) rated 5 A @ 30 VDC and one user-selectable analog signal: 4-20 mA or 0-10 V corresponding to internal pressure or retransmission of any input.

Communications are standard with BACnet MS/TP and Modbus® RTU over 2-wire RS485. An optional internal 120 ohm termination resistor is enabled by connecting a jumper wire between terminals 9 and 10. The device includes an audible alarm rated at 69.1 dB measured 10 cm from the display.
