The Omega NB1 Replacement Thermocouple Probes are designed for use in thermowells and protection heads, providing a replaceable sensing element that maintains the integrity of permanent installations. These probes support direct surface contact applications where faster response is required compared to standard immersion methods.

Operating Conditions & Performance
The series meets Special Limits of Error (SLE) and EN 60584-2: Tolerance Class 1 accuracy standards. Process temperature capabilities vary by probe construction, with Low-Cost Hollow-Tube Probes rated up to 450°F and Glass-Insulated Leads rated up to 900°F.

Diameters and Lengths
Probe diameters are available in 1.5 mm (⅛"), 3.0 mm (⅜"), 4.5 mm (¾"), and 6.0 mm (¼"). The standard insertion length is 300 mm (12"), with custom lengths available upon consultation.

Probe for Parts Washer
Had to come up with a way to control my parts washer between 165-170*F. I know this is meant for the T/C Protection Heads, but with this and a Thermal Wall I got from McMaster, I was up and running and still doing good. This probe in the Thermal Wal is Accurate to my Calibrated Fluke meter within 2*F. I'm definitely going to buy this or something similar for other projects or replacement in the future .

Pretty accurate thermocouple. Easy 2 wire connection. Would have been better if it mentioned somewhere the polarity of the colored wires.

Which thermowell should I choose to use with a thermocouple with the following specifications? Process Connection Size Process connection size: 1/2" NPT Probe Diameter: 0.25 in Probe Length: 2 in
The only Thermowell available for 2" probes is the 260A series however it has a 3/4" NPT process connection thread.

Our application is to measure temperature up to 750 deg. C in a vessel filled with Hydrogen at 30 bar pressure. We are considering using: Item# NB1-CAIN-14U-12RP-TT36. Is it the correct choice ?

Thank you for the inquiry. This probe series is not pressure rated due to the temperature ranges it may be exposed to. Recommend a thermowell rated for high temperature hydrogen service for this application. Omega does not currently offer compatible thermowell. Does this required a protection head? Or can it be inserted directly into a gas stream. I would like to tap a hole in a manifold plate and insert this probe into the gas stream. I would like the fast responding probe I can find. I also like the short leng
