The Series DFMT2 Remote Digital Paddlewheel Flow Transmitter is a two-piece digital flow transmitter designed for instantaneous and totalizing flow monitoring of compatible clean liquids. The series utilizes high accuracy, industry-proven paddlewheel technology with a corrosion-resistant PVDF sensor to support long operation life in industrial environments.

Documented applications include reverse osmosis water purifying systems and installations where space is limited or separation between the control panel and the process application is required.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series DFMT2 operates within a process temperature range of -4 to 194°F (-20 to 90°C) and an ambient temperature range of -4 to 149°F (-20 to 65°C). The transmitter is rated for pressures up to 145 psi (1.0 MPa).

Performance specifications include:

• Repeatability: ±0.5% FS
• Resolution: Up to 3 decimal points for both flow and totalization units

The unit requires a power supply of 12 to 24 VDC with a maximum loop resistance of 750 Ω for the analog output. The enclosure is rated IP65 and constructed from ABS plastic.

Configuration Options

Output Signals and Electrical Connections

Electrical connection terminals support RS485 communication (RS DATA+, RS DATA-), input power (12 to 24 V+/-), sensor power (VO+), and sensor communication (SIN+/SIN-).

Display and Configuration Features

The remote unit includes a large backlit LCD display measuring 2.38 x 1.25" (60.33 x 31.75 mm). Users can reset the totalizer at any time and set a security password to protect system settings from unauthorized changes.
