Supported Applications
The Omega PX3005 series consists of rangeable industrial pressure transmitters designed for pipeline, differential, steam, liquid, air flow, and container level measurements. These devices are engineered to measure both pressure and differential pressure across a broad spectrum of media including water, steam, oil, gas, and chemicals.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The PX3005 series operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 85°C and supports process temperatures from -40 to 120°C. Measurement ranges span from -10-100kPa up to 0-1000MPa, with a maximum pressure rating of Up to 1000MPa. Accuracy is specified as ±0.25% of span or ±0.5% of span depending on configuration, while hysteresis and repeatability are both rated at ±0.05% of span. The series features a resolution of 0.01% of span and a response time of 10ms.
Environmental durability includes an IP65 enclosure rating, with shock resistance up to 50g (11ms) and vibration tolerance of 10g across the 10-2000Hz frequency range. The burst pressure is rated at 4x full scale. Humidity ratings support operation in environments up to 95% RH.

Signal Wiring Configuration
The aviation plug pinout varies by signal type. For the two-wire power and signal configuration, Pin 1 is Power+, Pin 2 is Signal+, Pin 3 is Signal-, and Pin 4 is Power-. In the specific 4-20mA wiring scheme using color-coded leads within the aviation plug assembly: Brown/1 corresponds to Power+, White/2 to Signal+, Blue/3 to Signal-, and Black/4 to Power-.
Configuration Options
The PX3005 series offers extensive configurability across process connections, wetted materials, and installation options. The housing material is 316L stainless steel. Wetted parts are available in 316L stainless steel, Hastelloy C276, Monel 400, Titanium, PTFE, or Elastomer.

Housing and Mounting Options

Key Product Differences
Variants within the PX3005 family are distinguished by their specific measurement ranges and output signal types. Model numbers such as PX3005-001GI through PX3005-7.5KGI indicate different pressure spans, with suffixes like "AI" or "GI" denoting specific configuration codes associated with the 23 enabled variants in this series.
Zero point adjustment is explicitly available only for gauge pressure transmitters within the series. For high-temperature steam measuring applications, cooling water should be pre-injected into the condenser or guided pipe as noted in installation warnings. The instrument carries CE mark approval and complies with the 2014/30/EU EMC standard.

If I ordered the absolute configuration but need it to read gauge pressure can I just recalibrate it?

That would not be possible. The absolute unit would start at zero so you could do a calculation of 14.7 psi to achieve the gage range if you wanted but can not re-cal to make it a gauge unit.

Are there requirements for what type of gas lines that this will work with? Will it work for an inert gas that falls into the pressure and temperature range?

Resolution of the 4 to 20 mA signal would depend on the bit resolution of the instrumentation you are using to read the signal
