Supported Applications

The Omega OM-CP-RTDTEMP101A is a Precision RTD Temperature Data Logger within the NOMAD® Family, designed to measure and record temperature data at user-specified intervals. The device utilizes non-volatile solid-state memory for data security and includes a real-time clock that ensures all recorded readings are time and date stamped.

Applications supported by the series include:

• Real-time monitoring of temperature conditions via PC connection
• Data export to text files or Microsoft Excel® for further calculations
• Firmware upgrades performed in the field without returning units to a factory

Operating Conditions & Performance

The OM-CP-RTDTEMP101A operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 85°C (-40 to 176°F) and supports humidity levels from 0 to 95% RH non-condensing. The measurement range for the precision RTD sensing element spans -200 to 850°C (-392 to 1562°F).

Performance specifications include:

• Resolution: 0.001°C (0.0018°F)
• Accuracy: ±0.05°C (±0.09°F); ±0.015 Ω for the 0 to 200 Ω range; and ±0.01% of readings for the 200 to 400 Ω range
• Battery Life: Typical life is 10 years at a 15-minute reading rate using an included user-replaceable 3.6V lithium battery

The device features programmable high-low alarms and includes LED indicators for logging status, delay start mode, low battery/full memory conditions, and alarm states.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable options to meet specific installation needs. The standard data logger unit is housed in ABS Plastic with dimensions of 36 H x 56 W x 16 mm D (1.4 x 2.2 x 0.6"). An optional weatherproof enclosure, the OM-CP-WATERBOX101A, provides NEMA 4 (IP65) protection and measures 74 H x 148 W x 39 mm D (2.9 x 5.8 x 1.5") with a black anodized aluminum construction.

• Sensor Connection: Removable screw terminal supporting 2-, 3-, or 4-wire configurations via a removable 4-position terminal block
• Data Interface: Requires the OM-CP-IFC200 Windows software and 1.8 m (6') USB interface cable for operation, sold separately
