The Omega HHF143 Series is a precision handheld rotating metal vane thermo-anemometer kit designed for measuring air velocity and temperature. Operating Conditions & Performance

The series measures air velocity across two primary ranges depending on the probe size: 0.2 to 40.00 MPS (40 to 7800 FPM) for the HHF143B model and 1.5 to 35.00 MPS (300 to 6800 FPM) for the HHF143A model. Temperature measurement capability spans -20 to 100°C (-4 to 212°F). Accuracy is specified as ±1.0% of reading ±1-digit for air velocity and ±0.3°C + 0.2% of reading in °C for temperature.

Resolution is provided at 0.01 MPS or 1 FPM for air velocity, and 0.1°C or °F for temperature. The instrument features a response time of less than 1 second according to the manual documentation. Ambient operating conditions are rated from -40 to 50°C (-40 to 122°F), with storage temperatures supported between -40 to 70°C (-40 to 158°F). The device is designed for use in air and clean gases, capable of handling airstreams with varying humidity levels up to 95% RH non-condensing.

Configuration Options

The HHF143 Series is configurable by probe diameter and optional output interfaces. The series supports two standard probe sizes: a 25 mm (1") vane for the HHF143A model and a 70 mm (2¾") vane for the HHF143B model. Wetted materials include stainless steel and nickel-plated brass.

Output options allow integration with external systems or data logging:

• Analog Voltage Output: Available as a 0 to 5 Vdc voltage output (add suffix "-V" to model number)
• Digital Communication: USB interface available via the "-USB" suffix

The instrument is powered by three "AA" alkaline batteries (included). Variations are further defined by optional suffixes added to the base model number. The "-V" suffix denotes units configured for 0 to 5 Vdc voltage output, while the "-USB" suffix indicates inclusion of USB communications capabilities. A protective boot is available as an add-on option denoted by the "-PB" suffix.
