Supported Applications

The Dwyer Model HP Hand Pump provides a dual source of pneumatic pressure and vacuum for verifying the calibration of pressure instrumentation. Designed as a portable, single-hand operation device, it serves as a manual reference standard to generate stable test conditions.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series generates output ranges from -27" Hg (-910 mbar) for vacuum up to 45 psi (3 bar) for pressure. Fine adjustment control is specified as better than 0.0015 psi (0.1 mbar). The pump includes a pressure relief valve and features wetted materials of nickel plated brass and anodized aluminum.

Operational notes indicate that pressure may take up to 30 seconds to settle after increasing due to thermodynamic effects, seal settling, and flexible hose expansion. Users must release pressure before changing modes between pressure and vacuum generation.

Configuration Options

The Model HP series is configured with the following standard features:

• Process Connections: 1/4" female NPT (quick fit) connectors terminating two flexible hoses, each measuring 39" (1 m).
• Housing & Materials: Constructed from nickel plated brass and anodized aluminum.

An optional hard case (Model HP-1C) is available for the hand pump unit. The device weighs 20 oz (587 g).
