Supported Applications
The Omega FD613 Series consists of portable Doppler ultrasonic flow meters designed to measure fluid velocity in closed piping systems. These devices utilize advanced Trans-Phase measuring technology with a non-invasive clamp-on transducer that attaches to the exterior of metal, plastic, or rubber pipes. The series is specifically engineered for liquids containing suspended solids or entrained gases, requiring a minimum concentration of 100 ppm of particles sized at 100 microns or larger to act as reflectors.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The FD613 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -28°F to +140°F (-20°C to +60°C) and a process (transducer) temperature range of -40°F to +180°F (-40°C to +82°C). The unit functions in humidity levels from 0 to 95% non-condensing. Measurement capabilities cover flow velocities from 0.30 to 30.0 FPS [0.10 to 9.00 MPS]. Accuracy is specified as ±2% full scale (FS).
The handheld readout features a large 18 mm (0.7") LCD display that provides stable readings in either Feet per Second or Meters per Second, along with signal strength and low battery indications.
Power & Enclosure
- Power Supply: Four non-rechargeable alkaline "AA" cells (included), providing over 30 hours of continuous operation.
- Enclosure Rating: NEMA 12X, splash resistant ABS plastic housing.

Configuration Options
The series supports various configurations to accommodate different pipe diameters and regulatory requirements. The handheld readout unit is sold separately from the sensor, or as a complete kit.
Sensors & Mounting Options
- FD613-S1: Clamp-on sensor designed for pipes with ¼ to 1" diameter. This small pipe sensor features a two-piece clamp-on head.
- FD613-S2: Clamp-on sensor intended for pipes 1" diameter and larger.
Housing & Materials
- Transducer Material: Plated body with Ultrem 1000 sensor material.
- Cable: Includes a 2 m (6.6') cable and connector.
- Mounting Method: Clamp-on style utilizing acoustic couplant such as Dow 111 or silicone couplant.
Approvals & Certifications
- NIST Certificate Standard included with the unit.
- CE Approval is available (included in FD614-CE kit).
- ISO 9001 Certified manufacturing process.
Key Product Differences
The series offers distinct model configurations based on the inclusion of sensors and approvals:
- FD613: Handheld readout unit only; sensor is sold separately.
- FD614-CE: Complete kit including CE approval, handheld readout, and a sensor for pipes 1" diameter and larger (equivalent to FD613-S2).
The standard package includes the carrying case, silicone couplant, four "AA" batteries, NIST certificate, and operator's manual. Replacement alkaline batteries are available as part number MN1500-4.

It's not clearly stated so I'm asking, the FD613 product does not include the transducers? And those transducers are products FD613-S1 and FD613-S2?
Thanks for your question. Yes,the transducers are sold separately. Part numbers are FD613-S1 and FD613-S2 depending the pipe size.
