Supported Applications
The Omega FTTP Series consists of PFA compression fittings for tubing designed to provide positive sealing via the Grab-Seal System. These fittings are utilized in applications requiring compatibility with aggressive media, including biomedical, chemical, petro-chemical, food processing, and semiconductor industries.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The FTTP Series is constructed from PFA wetted materials to ensure material integrity across the documented application sectors. The fittings utilize a Grab-Seal System that allows for tool-free installation by cutting tubing to length, positioning the nut, gripper, and ferrule, and tightening the nut by hand.
Configuration Options
The series supports multiple connection configurations and replacement components available across tube outer diameters (OD) ranging from 1/8 inch to 1 inch. The following fitting types are offered:
- Straight Male Adaptor: Connects tubing OD sizes of 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 inch to NPT pipe sizes ranging from 1/8 to 1 inch.
- Union Elbow: Available for tube OD sizes of 1/8 through 1 inch.
- Union Reducer: Connects varying tube OD combinations (e.g., 1/8 to 1/4, 3/4 to 1).
- Male Elbow: Provides angled connections with NPT pipe threads for tube OD sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch.
- Union Panel Mount and Union fittings: Available in standard configurations for the full range of supported tube diameters.
- Tee Fittings: Includes Male Branch Tee (NPT) and Male Run Tee (NPTF).
The series also includes individual replacement parts such as Nuts, Grab-Seal Grippers, Grab-Seal Ferrules, Plugs, and Panel Nuts. Model numbers follow the format FTTP-, where size corresponds to tube OD and type indicates configuration (e.g., E for Elbow, M for Male Branch Tee).
Key Product Differences
Variants within the FTTP Series are distinguished by their connection geometry and thread standards. Straight adaptors and male elbows utilize NPT pipe threads, while run tees specify NPTF threads. Union reducers facilitate connections between different tube diameters without requiring threaded adapters on both ends.
