Supported Applications
The Omega PHCN-961/962 series of pH controllers and transmitters provides monitoring and control for water treatment, electrolytic water cleaning, chemical industry processes, food processing, cleaning water or wastewater treatment, and neutralization applications. The device accepts one pH or ORP electrode input through a supplied BNC connector.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series measures pH from -2.00 to 16.00 pH with ±0.01 pH accuracy and resolution of 0.01 pH. For mV measurements, the range is -1999 to 1999 mV with ±1 mV accuracy and 1 mV resolution. Temperature measurement spans -9.9 to 130°C using a 1000 Ω Pt RTD sensor, offering ±0.5°C accuracy and 0.1°C resolution. Automatic temperature compensation is available with a ±10°C offset adjustment or manual setting.
Operating ambient conditions are rated for -10 to 50°C (14 to 122°F) at 10 to 95% RH, non-condensing. The unit features an input impedance of 10¹³ Ω and a signal output load rating of 600 Ω.
Configuration Options
The series is offered in two mounting configurations: PHCN-961 for panel mount and PHCN-962 for wall mount. Both models utilize NEMA 4X (IP65) enclosures with a blue backlit, 4-digit LCD display measuring 13.7 mm (0.54").
Outputs and Controls
- Dual alarm setpoints with adjustable dead bands: pH Deadband Adjust from 0.01 to 2 pH; ORP Deadband Adjust from 1 to 200 mV.
- Three SPST relays rated at 250V @ 1 A for relay output control.
- Analog isolated current outputs available as 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 20 mA.
- RS485 communications via a client program.
Power and Connections
The controller operates on 110 or 220 Vac, 50 or 60 Hz power. The pH/ORP input connects via a BNC connector. Cleaning/recalibration notifications are programmable from 1 to 999 hours.
