DPG-10M-Series

Supported Applications

The Omega DPG Series consists of pneumatic parallel jaw grippers designed for modular automation systems. These DirectConnect™ units are engineered to be mounted and operated in any orientation, supporting high-cycle applications with a typical life cycle up to 5 million cycles.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within an ambient temperature range of -35 to 80°C (-30 to 180°F) and requires a pneumatic pressure supply between 3 to 7 Bar (40 to 100 psi). System air filtration must be 40 Micron or better, and operation necessitates a 4 Way, 2 Position Valve. The grippers feature non-synchronous and single jaw motion capabilities with documented repeatability and accuracy of ±0.05 mm (±0.002").

Performance Specifications by Size

Grip force is consistent across the series at 222 N (50 lb), while stroke length varies by model size:

• DPG-10M-1 / DPG-10M-1-C: Stroke of 6.4 mm (0.25")
• DPG-10M-2 / DPG-10M-2-C: Stroke of 12.7 mm (0.50")
• DPG-10M-3 / DPG-10M-3-C: Stroke of 19.1 mm (0.75")
• DPG-10M-4 / DPG-10M-4-C: Stroke of 25.4 mm (1.00")

Configuration Options

The series is constructed with a one-piece lightweight aircraft quality aluminum body and offers multiple pneumatic air port locations. Gripper finger tooling remains the customer's responsibility.

Sensor Options

Sensors are sold separately and available in various configurations to monitor jaw position:

• Inductive Sensors: NPN (OISN-019) or PNP (OISP-019) with quick disconnect; requires mounting kit OSMK-097.
• Magneto Resistive Sensors: Standard orientation in NPN (OHSN-017) or PNP (OHSP-017); 90° orientation available as NPN (OHSN-011) or PNP (OHSP-011).
• Cabling: Quick disconnect cables in lengths of [2 m (6.6')] (CABL-010), [5 m (16')] (CABL-013); extension cables available as [1 m (3')] (CABL-015) or [2 m (6.6')] (CABL-016).

Pneumatic Accessories

Additional components include a fail safe valve (OFSV-004), flow control valves (VLVF-008, quantity 1 or 2), and top port manifold seals (SLKT-184V).

Key Product Differences

The DPG Series is available in four distinct sizes corresponding to stroke length. Each size offers two configuration options:

• Spring Open Configuration: Standard model designation (e.g., DPG-10M-4).
• Spring Closed Configuration: Identified by the suffix "-C" added to the model number (e.g., DPG-10M-4-C).

The series supports replacement parts including Body, Jaw, Cap, Piston, Drive Pin, Synchronizing Bar, Equalizer, Pivot Pin, and Set Screws.
