Supported Applications

The Omega YBK series comprises feed through and ground terminal blocks designed for fast wire termination using a tension clamp connection style. These DIN rail mounted components provide reliable secure connections suitable for all wire ranges without requiring pre-treatment of stranded wire.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The YBK series is rated at 600 V. Electrical performance varies by model size, with voltage and current ratings defined in the specification tables:

• YBK-2.5 / YBK-2.5T: 750V/22 A (General), 600V/20 A (UL); Wire range: 22–12 AWG; Width: 5 mm
• YBK-4 / YBK-4T: 750V/30 A (General), 600V/26 A (UL); Wire range: 22–10 AWG; Width: 6 mm
• YBK-6 / YBK-6T: 750V/40 A (General), 600V/35 A (UL); Wire range: 22–8 AWG; Width: 8 mm
• YBK-10 / YBK-10T: 750V/63 A (General), 600V/55 A (UL); Wire range: 20–6 AWG; Width: 10 mm

The housing material is Polyamide 6.6. Insulation strip lengths are specified as 10 mm for YBK-2.5, 12 mm for YBK-4, and 13 mm for both YBK-6 and YBK-10 models.

Configuration Options

The series supports standard feed through blocks (YBK) and ground terminal blocks (indicated by the "T" suffix). Color options are available via ordering modifiers: add “-R” for red or “-B” for blue colored terminal blocks at no additional charge. Standard colors include gray, beige, green, yellow, and others as listed in the overview.

Accessories

A full line of accessories is offered to complete installations:

• End Plates/Partitions: YBK-EP series for standard blocks; specific end plates (e.g., YBK-254T-EP, YBK-6T-EP) for ground terminal blocks.
• Cross Connectors: Available in 2, 3, 4, and 10 positions with model numbers such as OM-476222 through OM-476259 depending on the block size (YBK-2.5 to YBK-10).
• Marking Tags: Options include unprinted tags (MKR-NO-PRINT) and numbered ranges from 1–10 up to 201–250.
• DIN Rail End Brackets: Model T-BLK-EB is available for rail termination.

Certifications

The series carries RoHS, CE, UL 94 V2, and cULus approvals.

Key Product Differences

Variants are distinguished by electrical capacity (YBK-2.5 through YBK-10) and function (feed through vs. ground). Ground terminal blocks utilize the "T" suffix in their model number (e.g., YBK-4T, YBK-6T). End plates for standard feed through blocks follow the pattern YBK-EP-<SIZE>, while end plates for ground terminals use specific part numbers such as YBK-254T-EP or YBK-10T-EP. Cross connectors are sized to match the width of the corresponding terminal block series.
