Supported Applications

The Omega TMO Series consists of steel flanged immersion heaters designed for sump oil applications. These units are engineered to maintain proper lube oil temperature in reservoirs.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within a process temperature range of 10°C (60°F) to 121°C (250°F). An adjustable thermostat provides positive temperature control across this span. The heaters utilize low watt density steel sheath elements with a specified watt density of 15 W/in².

Power configurations are available in 3, 4, and 6 kW ratings at 240V or 480V, 3 phase. Overall dimensions (Dim. B) range from 25¼ to 48⅛ in. (64 to 122 cm), with a weight ranging from 24 to 29 lb (11 to 13 kg). The standard process connection is a 3" (8 cm) 150 lb (68 kg) steel flange.

Configuration Options

The TMO Series offers configurable options across power, voltage, and enclosure types. Key capabilities include:

• Housing Material: Steel construction with a Type E-2 moisture tight/explosion resistant enclosure standard.
• Wetted Materials: Low Watt Density Steel Sheath Elements compatible with sump oil media.
• Electrical Connection: Standard Type E2 moisture tight/explosion resistant terminal enclosure. Other enclosures are available upon contact with OMEGALUX.
• Certifications: CSA NRTL/C certified and Made in USA.

Note: Heaters with explosion-resistant enclosures are not intended for use in hazardous areas, despite the enclosure rating. Approved pressure and/or temperature limit controls are recommended.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the series differ by power output (3 kW, 4 kW, or 6 kW) and voltage selection (240V or 480V). The model number follows the format TMO-, for example: TMO-30315E2T93/240/3P. Dimension B and weight increase with higher wattage configurations, while Dim. N remains constant at 1½ in. (4 cm) across the listed variants.
