Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series TVF Total View Industrial Flowmeters are designed for measuring water, oils, coolants, compressed gases, and other industrial fluids. These variable area flow meters provide visual indication of flow rates in processes requiring economical, durable instrumentation.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series delivers a full-scale accuracy of ±2% with repeatability of ±1/4% of the indicated flow rate. Operating limits vary by connection size and temperature; for example, the 3/4" model supports up to 300 psig (20.6 bar) at temperatures from 70°F (21°C) through 200°F (93°C), with reduced pressure ratings of 250 psig (17.2 bar) at 250°F (121°C) and 115 psig (7.9 bar) at 300°F (148°C). The 1-1/2" model supports up to 180 psig (12.4 bar) from 70°F (21°C) through 200°F (93°C), decreasing to 145 psig (10.0 bar) at 250°F (121°C) and 70 psig (4.8 bar) at 300°F (148°C). Scale lengths are 3.2" (8 cm) for the 3/4" NPT connection and 5.2" (13 cm) for the 1-1/2" NPT connection.
Configuration Options
The Series TVF is configured with standard process connections of 3/4" or 1-1/2" female NPT. Wetted materials include a T-316 stainless steel body, Buna-N O-rings, and polysulfone sight tubes. The meters feature a plastic sight tube that allows for 360° rotation of the scale for easy reading from any angle.
Available flow ranges cover both liquid (water) and gas (air) applications:
- Liquid Ranges (Water): From 0.025–0.545 GPM up to 4.00–120.0 GPM, distributed across the two connection sizes.
- Gaseous Ranges (Air): From 0.16–3.20 SCFM up to 20.0–1000.0 SCFM, with specific range codes assigned for each flow interval and connection size.
The series supports optional metric scales in liters/minute upon request from the factory.
Key Product Differences
Differences within the Series TVF are defined by the selected Range Code, which dictates the specific flow range (GPM or SCFM) and the required process connection size. The 3/4" NPT models generally cover lower flow rates compared to the 1-1/2" NPT models. Physical dimensions differ between sizes: the 3/4" unit weighs 4 lb (1.8 kg), while the 1-1/2" unit weighs 12 lb (5.5 kg). Both configurations utilize T-316 stainless steel construction with polysulfone sight tubes.
