Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series EC provides flexible extension cables and related accessories for temperature sensing applications. The series supports thermocouple (T/C) types J, K, E, and T, as well as RTD configurations including 2-wire and 3-wire elements.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series EC is designed to extend sensor signals with customizable insulation and overbraid options. The series supports fiberglass insulation (code 1), FEP insulation (code 4), stainless steel overbraids (code 3), stainless steel flex hose (code 5), or FEP over SS flex hose (code 6). A no-extension option is also available.

Configuration Options

The Series EC utilizes a configurable model number structure: EC-----. The series supports the following configuration parameters:

• Sensor Type Codes: J, K, E, T for thermocouples; 2 and 3 for RTD 2-wire and 3-wire.
• Extension Types: Fiberglass insulation (1), Stainless steel overbraid (3), FEP insulation (4), Stainless steel flex hose (5), or FEP over SS flex hose (6).
• Terminal Configurations (#1 and #2): Stripped ends (0), Lugs (1), Lugs with BX (2), Standard plug (3), Standard jack (4), Mini plug (6), Mini jack (7), Fastabs (9), or Fastabs with BX (A).
• Element Count: Single (1) or Dual (2).

In addition to extension cables, the series includes accessory options such as compression fittings, pipe adapters, bayonet adapters, and transition adapters.

Compression Fittings

• Models: 144-0012 (1/8" OD, 1/8-27 NPT, Brass), 144-0014 (1/4" OD, 1/4-18 NPT, Brass).
• Models: 144-0009 (3/16" OD, 1/8-27 NPT, Brass), 144-0024 (1/4" OD, 1/8-27 NPT, SS).
• Models: 144-0022 (3/16" OD, 1/8-27 NPT, SS), 144-0037 (.260 - .275" OD, 1/4-18 NPT, FEP).

Pipe Adapters

Available models fit pipe diameters ranging from 1/2" to 30-1/4", including specific ranges such as:

• Model 1568-0007: 1/2" to 7/8"
• Model 1568-0009: 1-5/16" to 2-1/4"
• Model 1568-0013: 4-5/16" to 5-1/4"
• Model 1568-0029: 29-3/4" to 30-1/4"

Bayonet Adapters

Models include thread sizes of 1/8-27 UNF, 3/8-24 UNF, and 10 x 1.5 mm with lengths (L) ranging from 7/8" to 2-1/2".

Transition Adapters

• Model 481-0127: Type K
• Model 481-0128: Type T
