Supported Applications
The Omega DRTB-2 Series consists of DIN rail mountable, fully enclosed thermocouple terminal blocks designed for secure and maintenance-free connections. These audit-capable devices feature built-in miniature female thermocouple connectors (Type SMP) to facilitate easy auditing and troubleshooting in industrial control environments.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DRTB-2 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F). The housing is constructed from gray polyamide 6.6 thermoplastic resin and carries a UL 94 V0 rating for 85°C. Mechanical performance includes excellent vibration resistance, corrosion-resistant connections, and an extreme performance test capability of 20 lb force.

The series supports the following thermocouple calibrations with specific alloy codes:
- Type K: CHROMEGA® / ALOMEGA®
- Type T: Copper / Constantan
- Type J: Iron / Constantan
- Type E: CHROMEGA® / Constantan
- Type N: OMEGA-P® / OMEGA-N®
- Type U: Copper / Copper
- Type R/S: Copper / RNX/SNX
Configuration Options
The DRTB-2 Series is available in single unit, 10-pack (e.g., -10PK), and 50-pack (-50PK) configurations. The narrow profile measures 10.7 mm (0.422") wide with an overall length/height of 52.8 mm (2.08"]/42.3 mm (1.666"). Electrical connections utilize screw-type terminals.
Mounting and Accessories
The blocks are designed for use with standard 35 mm DIN rails or 32 mm G-type rails. Available accessories include:
- DIN Rails: DRTB-RAIL-3575 (35 x 7.5 mm, 2 m), DRTB-RAIL-3575-1 (1 m), DRTB-RAIL-3515 (35 x 15 mm, 2 m), and DRTB-RAIL-3515-1 (1 m).
- Markers: XBMZB10 white blank marker strip.
- Meters: HH806AU thermocouple dual input meter with USB and DC power jack.
- Cables: REC(*)1-10 retractable extension cable, 0.3 m (expands to 1.5 m); REC(*)4-10 retractable extension cable, 1.2 m (expands to 6.1 m).

Got them overnight. Terminals great for installing quickly on DIN rail & getting a large quantity without need for a large junction box.

I installed these in a job 3 years ago,and the maintenance man asked what they did. So I explained to him how they work . He was impressed!
They use them for calibration of their digital controls.

Can I use the Built-In Miniature Female Thermocouple Connector to connect my t/c's instead of the terminals? I want to achieve a modular setup to my datalogger system.
Thank you for your inquiry. You may use a female connector as an extension port. But it will not work in place of the DRTB Series.
