Supported Applications

The Omega CDS Series provides Conductivity and Salt % Calibration Solutions designed for calibrating conductivity instruments. The series includes standard solutions covering a range of microsiemens per centimeter (µS/cm) values as well as sodium chloride (NaCl) concentrations.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The CDS Series delivers ±1% Accuracy across its measurement ranges. Solutions are available in conductivity levels including 10 µS/cm, 15 µS/cm, 45 µS/cm, 450 µS/cm, 1413 µS/cm, 1500 µS/cm, 4500 µS/cm, 15000 µS/cm, and 45000 µS/cm. Salt-based standards are offered as 1% NaCl and 10% NaCl solutions.

Shelf life varies by model: most solutions have a 1-year shelf life, while CDSA-10* and CDSA-15* carry a 6-month shelf life. The series is RoHS compliant. A NIST Certificate of Conformance is available as an optional certification.

Configuration Options

The series supports multiple configuration options to accommodate specific calibration needs:

  • Conductivity Ranges: Models span from 10 µS/cm up to 45000 µS/cm, including intermediate points such as 1413 µS/cm and 1500 µS/cm.
  • Salt Concentrations: Available in 1% NaCl (CDSA-1-NACL) and 10% NaCl (CDSA-10-NACL).
  • Certification Options: Add the suffix "-CAL-CDS" to any model number at time of purchase to include a NIST Certificate of Conformance.
  • Housing Accessories: The PHA-77 Third-Arm Electrode Holder is offered as an accessory for use with these solutions.

Model numbers follow the pattern CDSA-<value>, such as CDSA-45, CDSA-1413, or CDSA-1-NACL. The PHA-77 electrode holder is ordered separately.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the series are distinguished by their specific conductivity value or salt concentration:

  • CDSA-10* and CDSA-15*: Low-range solutions (10 µS/cm, 15 µS/cm) with a noted 6-month shelf life.
  • Standard Conductivity Models: Includes CDSA-45 through CDSA-45000 for mid-to-high range calibration points.
  • Salt Solutions: Distinct models CDSA-1-NACL and CDSA-10-NACL provide 1% and 10% NaCl concentrations respectively.

Note: Ordering a NIST Certificate of Conformance requires adding the "-CAL-CDS" suffix to the model number, which incurs an additional cost and setup charge.

Otherwise, it is useless. If you want to have the certification papers, you have to pay extra. It just doesn't ,make sense to me that it would be sold without.

The conductivity standard solutions have the option for a certification, you will need to add the suffix, '-CAL-CDS.' For example, a certification for a 45 microSiemen is part number CDSA-45-CAL-CDS
