Supported Applications

The Omega 19TJP series consists of 483 mm (19") Jack Panel Assemblies designed for rack-mounted instrumentation. These assemblies feature rugged, anodized panels with a thickness of 3.2 mm (1/8"). The primary function is to provide connection points using 3-Prong Connectors compatible with thermocouple and RTD sensors.

Configurations are available in plain panel styles or with cutouts for switches and meters, allowing integration into control panels where field identification of sensor channels is required. I.D. Labels are supplied loose to enable customer-specific channel labeling in the field.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series maintains a fixed width of 483 mm (19") across all variants, with panel height and jack capacity scaling based on the number of rows selected. The construction utilizes anodized panels to provide durability for industrial environments.

Note that switches and meters are sold separately; panels with switch or meter cutouts are not supplied wired. When a switch is ordered, installation is included at no extra cost.

Configuration Options

The 19TJP series offers extensive configurability regarding panel height, jack density, and optional cutouts for auxiliary instrumentation. The model number structure follows the format: 19TJP<Row>-<Total Jacks>-<Switch Cutout>-<Meter Cutout>.

Panel Configurations

Panels are available in four row configurations, each with specific height and maximum jack capacities:

  • 1 Row (Plain): 89 mm (3½") high; max 22 jacks.
  • 2 Rows (Plain): 133 mm (5¼") high; max 44 jacks.
  • 3 Rows (Plain): 222 mm (8¾") high; max 66 jacks.
  • 4 Rows (Plain): 267 mm (10½") high; max 88 jacks.

Cutout Options

Variants with switch and meter cutouts reduce the maximum jack count per row to accommodate instrumentation:

  • Switch Cutout Only (OSW): 76 mm (5") opening; max jacks range from 10 to 40 depending on rows.
  • Switch and Meter Cutouts (OSW-MTR): Includes a standard 45 x 92 mm (¼" DIN) meter cutout unless otherwise specified. Max jack counts are reduced further, ranging from 10 to 40 jacks across the row configurations.
  • Blank Panels: Available for custom wiring or non-standard layouts without pre-installed connectors.

Customization and Accessories

The series supports special service options including color-coded anodized panels or wired assemblies. These require a minimum order of $1,000 and consultation with the Custom Engineering Department. I.D. Labels are supplied loose for field identification.

Variants within the 19TJP series differ primarily by row count (determining panel height), total jack quantity, and the presence of cutouts. The connector type is standardized as a 3-Prong female thermocouple/RTD interface.

  • Row Count: Defines physical dimensions; models range from single-row panels to four-row assemblies.
  • Jack Density: Plain panels support higher jack counts (up to 88) compared to cutout versions, which are limited by the space required for switches and meters.
  • Cutout Presence: Models with "OSW" include a switch opening; models with "MTR" add a meter opening. Blank panels lack connectors entirely.
