Supported Applications
The Omega Link SP-003 and SP-004 Series Modular Environmental Monitoring Smart Probes measure temperature, relative humidity, and barometric pressure. The series supports calculated parameters including Dewpoint, Heat Index, and Humidex on specific models (SP-003-2 and SP-004-2). Designed for integration with Omega Link Smart Interfaces and gateways, these probes facilitate wireless connectivity via the IF-006 Series interface and GW-001 or GW-002 series gateways. The system architecture supports data consolidation through the Omega Link Cloud.
Functioning as an edge controller, the SP-003/SP-004 provides autonomous independent decision-making capabilities with integrated alarm and control features. Key functional attributes include:

Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within an ambient and process temperature range of -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F). Measurement ranges cover Temperature from -40 to 85°C, Relative Humidity from 0 to 100% RH (non-condensing), and Barometric Pressure from 10 to 1200 mbar. The electrical connection utilizes an M12 8-Pin Male Connector with a power supply requirement of 2.8 VDC - 3.3 VDC.
Performance specifications are defined as follows:
- Temperature Accuracy: ±0.3°C (±0.6°F) at 25°C
- Relative Humidity Accuracy: ±2.5% (0 to 80%) and ±3.5% (80 to 100%) non-condensing

Configuration Options
The series offers configurable mechanical housings and measurement configurations to address specific installation needs. The modular M12 construction supports various accessories including T-Splitters, field install connectors with screw terminals, and dual M12-8 connector cables in 1m, 3m, and 5m lengths (straight or right angle).

- Bulkhead Housing: Aluminum construction. Dimensions: 73 mm L x 15.9 mm OD x 18.5 mm Panel Opening (2.83" x 0.62" x 0.72").
Model Configurations
The series includes the following documented configurations:
- SP-003-1 / SP-004-1: Temperature, Humidity, and Barometric Pressure (or Temperature/Humidity only for SP-004) with discrete I/O.
- SP-003-2 / SP-004-2: Includes Dewpoint, Humidex, and Heat Index readings in addition to standard parameters.
Ecosystem Compatibility
The probes are designed for use with Omega Link Smart Interfaces (IF-001 Wired USB, IF-002 Wired RS485/Modbus) and Wireless Sub GHz interfaces (IF-006). Gateways include the GW-001 Series (Wired/Wireless IIoT Gateway Standard or Pro) and GW-002 LTE IIoT Gateway Pro.

Variants within the SP-003/SP-004 series differ primarily by measurement capability set, housing type, and physical dimensions. The SP-003 family includes models with Barometric Pressure sensing (e.g., SP-003-1), whereas specific SP-004 variants focus on Temperature and Humidity without pressure or include calculated indices depending on the model suffix.
Physical variations distinguish between Tube Housings (Stainless Steel) and Bulkhead Housings (Aluminum). The 5" tube length is available as an option for specific models. I would like to embed this sensor into an environment that will require it to have an ISO 17025 calibration certificate, specifically % RH. Can this be included with purchase?

Would Python code we are using for RH-USB work with these sensors? It seems to be the recommended replacement for the RH-USB.

What is the external thread on the sensor side of the SP-004-4 sensor? I want to screw the sensor directly into the wall of a housing rather than use the nut, and I can't find the thread designation in the product documentation.
