Supported Applications
The Omega FTTT-Series Multitube Quick Couplings provide a reliable, easy-to-operate multiple tube connection system for plastic tubing. Designed specifically for pneumatic control systems, the series supports vacuum or pressure applications where fast hook-up and dependability are required.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The rugged thermoplastic design utilizes engineering plastics to provide toughness, economy, and chemical resistance suitable for various process media. The system allows connection of 1 to 10 tubes in one motion with the ability to mix tubing sizes within a single coupling.
- Working Pressure: Vacuum to 100 psi (6.9 bar) per line
- Operating Temperature - Delrin/Celcon Acetal Fitting Inserts: -40 to 82°C (-40 to 180°F) continuous
- Operating Temperature - Polypropylene Fitting Inserts: 0 to 82°C (32 to 180°F) continuous
- Tubing Sizes Supported: 1/16" and 1/8" ID; 1/4" OD Poly, 6 x 4 mm Nylon, and 3 mm ID Nylon
The series is RoHS compliant.
Configuration Options
The FTTT-Series offers configurable options for complete coupling sets, bodies without inserts, individual fitting inserts, and accessories. The system supports both straight-through flow configurations and shutoff capabilities depending on the model selection.
- Fitting Insert Materials: Delrin/Celcon Acetal or Polypropylene
- Valve Material: Polypropylene with 316 Stainless Steel valve springs
- Seal Materials: Buna (with Delrin/Celcon Acetal) or EPR (with Polypropylene)
- Body/Color: Nylon/Black
- Mixing Capability: Supports mixing of 1/16", 1/8", 3 mm, and 4 mm ID tubing sizes within the same coupling by purchasing inserts of different sizes.
The series includes OMEGA's exclusive 1/16" ID shrouded tube fitting to prevent breakage. Each standard coupling body includes ten inserts of one specific tube size; additional or replacement inserts are available separately.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the series differ by material composition, flow configuration (straight-through vs. shutoff), and component scope (complete set, body only, insert only).
- Straight-Through Models: Available in Delrin/Celcon Acetal or Polypropylene configurations for 1/16", 3 mm, and 1/8" tubing sizes.
- Shutoff Models: Offered with a "D" suffix (e.g., FT-TTD) to provide flow control capability; available in Delrin/Celcon Acetal or Polypropylene for specific tube IDs.
- Component Scope: Options include complete coupling sets, bodies without inserts, and individual fitting inserts or fitting bodies sold separately.
Accessories are specified separately depending on the configuration:
- Tube Shroud (FT-TS-10): Snaps into either half of the coupling; required for panel mount configurations and tube-to-tube assemblies.
- Panel Mount Adaptor (FT-TPM-10): Includes a nut, supports maximum 7/16" panel thickness, requires a 48 (1.875") diameter hole.
- Tube Jacketing (FT-TJ-10): Black, supplied in standard 40 foot coils.
- Cable Tie (FT-CT-10)
