The Omega FL2AA-Series Multiple Tube Variable Area Flow Meters are designed for applications requiring the metering of up to six streams of liquids or gases in individual channels. The series supports interchangeable 150 mm flow tubes and includes scales engineered to minimize parallax and eye fatigue during operation.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The FL2AA-Series operates with a maximum process temperature of 121°C (250°F), reduced to 82°C (180°F) for water applications. The series is rated for a maximum pressure of 13.8 bar (200 psig). Performance specifications include an accuracy of ±2% Full Scale and repeatability of ±0.25% full scale.
Configuration Options
The series offers configurable dimensions based on tube count, with overall heights of 249.25 mm (9.813") for two-tube units, and widths varying by configuration: 57.15 mm (2.25") for two tubes, 82.55 mm (3.25") for three tubes, and 107.95 mm (4.25") for four tubes.
Key configurable options include:
- Tube Count: Available in two-tube, three-tube, or four-tube frames.
- Flow Patterns: Pattern A features individual inlets and outlets; Pattern B manifolds multiple inlets into one outlet.
- End Fittings: Aluminum or 316 SS materials are available depending on the model code (e.g., AA/AB for aluminum, SA/SB for 316 SS).
- Process Connections: Standard connection is ½ FNPT.
- Flow Tubes: Users select desired 150 mm flow tubes from the online list and insert the suffix into the model number (e.g., FLT-45G becomes -45G).
The series is custom built to order. Additional options include high precision valves, panel locking nuts, and NIST Calibration (add suffix “-NIST AIR” or “-NIST WATER”). Each unit comes complete with an air and water correlation sheet for each tube.
Key Product Differences
The FL2AA-Series model numbers follow the structure: FL-<TUBE_COUNT><PATTERN>-<END_FITTING>. The first digit indicates the number of tubes (e.g., 2, 3, or 4). The second letter denotes the flow pattern (A for individual inlets/outlets, B for manifolded outlets), and the third character specifies the end fitting material (Aluminum vs. 316 SS).
