Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series WRBT Removable Bottom Multi-Jet Water Meters are mechanical water totalizing meters designed to display total water usage in Gallons, with m³ options available. These instruments serve applications requiring accurate flow measurement and totalization for cold water services.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series WRBT operates within a process temperature limit of 122°F (50°C) and a pressure rating of 150 psi (10 bar). Accuracy is specified as ±3% for Transitional Flow and ±1.5% for Nominal Flow. The meters are designed to be mounted horizontally with the register facing up.
Flow ranges vary by model size, covering nominal flow bands from 1 to 20 GPM up to 8 to 160 GPM. Maximum display capacity reaches 9,999,999.99 Gallons for smaller sizes and 9,999,999.9 Gallons for larger models.
Wetted Materials
- Body: ECO BRASS® alloy
- Couplings: ECO BRASS® alloy
- Measuring Chamber: ABS Plastic
Configuration Options
The series supports a range of body sizes and coupling configurations to accommodate different pipe dimensions. Process connections include NPT or optional BSPT couplings in sizes ranging from 1/2" NPT to 2-1/2" (for the 2-inch size). The ECO BRASS® alloy body features a removable section that allows for disassembly to clean collected debris while maintaining performance.
Electrical and Output Options
The meters provide a pulse output with frequency proportional to flow rate. Pulse options are available as 10 gal per pulse or 100 gal per pulse, depending on the model configuration. Electrical requirements are rated at 0.01 A @ 24 VAC/DC.
- Electrical Connections: Color-coded lead wires, 4.5' (1.5 m) long
- Pulse Rates: Configurable for 10 gal or 100 gal per pulse
Model Number Configuration
The model number guide follows the format WRBT - [Unit of Measurement] - [Cold Water] - [Size Code] - [Pulse Rate]. For example, WRBT-A-C-01-10 indicates a Gallon unit (-A), Cold Water service (-C), 5/8" x 1/2" size (01), and 10 gal pulse rate (-10).
Key Product Differences
Variants within the Series WRBT differ primarily by coupling size, nominal flow range, maximum display capacity, and weight. The series includes models with short length couplings (e.g., "SL" designators) and long configurations to fit specific installation spacing.
- Size 01 & 02: Nominal Flow 1 to 20 GPM, Max Display 9,999,999.99 Gallons
- Size 03, 04, & 05: Nominal Flow 2 to 30 GPM, Max Display 9,999,999.99 Gallons
- Size 06: Nominal Flow 3 to 50 GPM, Max Display 9,999,999.99 Gallons
- Size 07 & 08: Higher flow ranges (5 to 100 GPM and 8 to 160 GPM respectively) with a reduced decimal resolution on the display maximum of 9,999,999.9 Gallons.
Note: The Series WRBT is not field serviceable; attempting repair may void the warranty. Thread protectors should remain in place during storage to protect meter spud threads.
