- Data Interface Note RS-485: The communication interface is a serial line using a "Two-Wire" electrical interface in accordance with EIA/TIA-485 standard. It operates using the Modbus RTU transmission mode. It features an 8-bit DIP switch for device address selection (1 to 247, with 254 for programming mode). Signal wiring requires at least a 3-conductor twisted wire (shielded recommended), and the interface includes jumper-selectable line termination options (100 ohm, 120 ohm, or none).
- Data Logging No
- Display Note Tricolor LED indicates power, test, and communication status
- Display Type LED
- Electrical Output Note Modbus RTU transmission mode via EIA/TIA-485 (two-wire) interface; adjustable baud rates from 4800 to 115200 bps; jumper-selectable line termination (100 ohm, 120 ohm, or none); requires 3-conductor twisted (shielded recommended) cable
- Electrical Rating Note Power & Current (with detector): 3.25 W (max); 85 mA @ 24 VDC (alarm); 60 mA @ 24 VDC (fan relay on); 33 mA @ 24 VDC (standby) • Power Connection: 12 to 24 VAC or 12 to 24 VDC (no polarity) • Power Wire Terminals: Accept wire from 16 to 28 AWG
- Enclosure Note Commercial-type enclosure to protect and support the electronics
- Expansion & Connectivity Connectivity: Provides a digital interface for Macurco 6-Series detectors to communicate with Building Automation Systems, control panels, and other control devices using Modbus RTU protocol over a physical RS-485 serial line interface; features include an 8-bit DIP switch for address selection (1-247) and adjustable baud rates (4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200 bps).
