Supported Applications
The Omega Alta wireless PM2.5 um meter measures Particulate Matter (PM) Concentration, specifically monitoring PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 levels in ambient air. The device draws in air via a small fan and utilizes laser scattering to determine particle number and size based on concentration. It is designed for enterprise IoT applications where long-range wireless communication and extended battery life are required.
The sensor transmits measurements directly to the iMonnit online monitoring system, which supports configuration, data viewing, and alerts via SMS and email. The series features over-the-air updates and enhanced power management capabilities.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Alta-Particle series operates within specific temperature ranges dependent on the battery type selected:
- Commercial version (Alkaline Batteries): -18°C to 55°C (0°F to 130°F)
- Commercial version (Lithium Battery): -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F)
- Industrial version (Industrial Battery): -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to +185°F)
