Operating Conditions & Performance

The series measures vacuum with three distinct set point ranges: 3 to 8 in w.c. (8 to 20 mbar), 9 to 80 in w.c. (21 to 199 mbar), and 81 to 330 in w.c. (200 to 822 mbar). The switch is rated for a minimum life expectancy of 10 million cycles with an extremely fast response time. Repeatability is specified as ±20%. Operating temperature limits are 40 to 150°F (4 to 66°C), and the service media includes air or compatible fluids.

Electrical ratings vary by range: Range 3 to 8 in w.c. supports 3 A, 125/250 VAC; Range 9 to 80 in w.c. supports 10 A, 125/250 VAC; and Range 81 to 330 in w.c. supports 15 A, 125/250 VAC.

Configuration Options

The Series MVS offers configurable process connections and electrical interfaces across six models (MVS-1 through MVS-6). The switch type is SPDT normally open or normally closed. Contacts are silver with brass terminals, utilizing 0.187" x 0.20" spade terminals for use with quick disconnects.

• Process Connections: Models MVS-1 to MVS-3 feature a smooth port 0.25" diameter; Models MVS-4, MVS-5, and MVS-6 utilize 1/8" male NPT connections.

• MVS-1, MVS-2, MVS-3: These models feature a smooth port 0.25" diameter process connection covering the full vacuum measurement envelope from 3 to 330 in w.c.
• MVS-4, MVS-5, MVS-6: Identified with an asterisk in documentation notes, these models provide a 1/8" male NPT process connection while maintaining the same set point ranges as their smooth-port counterparts (MVS-4 matches MVS-1; MVS-5 matches MVS-2; MVS-6 matches MVS-3).
