The Dwyer Model MN-1 Mini-Node™ Communication Signal Converter is an economical device designed to convert half-duplex RS-485 serial communications signals into a signal readable by any computer via a USB port. The integral connectors reduce setup time by eliminating extra wiring, making the unit suitable for field installation, control panels, and lab testing.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Model MN-1 operates without an external power source, drawing 0.4 W directly from the USB connection. The device provides electrical isolation with a rated Isolated Voltage of 3000 VDC and features an Input Impedance of 96 kΩ. It maintains full compliance with the USB V.2.0 specification.
Supported Baud Rates include: 75, 150, 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, and 115200 bps.
Configuration Options
The series is offered as a single configuration with integral connectivity options:

- RS-485 Connector: RJ-45.
- PIN Configuration: Pin 4 is designated SG+ (Red) and Pin 5 is designated SG- (Green); Pins 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8 are Reserved.
