Supported Applications
The Omega LCM101 and LCM111 series are stainless steel 'S' beam load cells designed for tension and compression applications. These high-accuracy, economical sensors feature all-stainless steel construction (17-4 PH) intended for use in harsh industrial environments.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The LCM series covers a measurement range of 10 kgf to 10,000 kgf. Each unit is calibrated in tension and includes a complete 5-point NIST-traceable calibration with an accuracy class of ±0.03% FSO. Performance specifications include repeatability of ±0.01% FSO and hysteresis of ±0.05% FSO, with 0.25% interchangeability.
Electrical characteristics are defined by a load resistance of 350 ±10 Ω and an output signal of 3 mV/V ±0.0075 mV/V. The series operates on an excitation voltage of 10 Vdc, with a maximum of 15 Vdc. Ambient operating temperature is rated from -40 to 93°C (-40 to 200°F).
Configuration Options
The series offers two primary electrical connection configurations: the LCM101 with a cable style and the LCM111 with a connector interface. Dimensions, thread sizes (A), and weights vary by capacity as detailed in the specification tables.
- Electrical Connections: The LCM101 features a 4-conductor shielded cable. Cable lengths are <9 m (30') for capacities <100 kgf, and 4.6 m (15') for ≥250 kgf using 20 AWG wire.
- Connector Options: The LCM111 utilizes PT06F8-4S connectors for ≤100 kgf capacities and PT06F10-6S connectors for ≥250 kgf. Mating connectors are sold separately.
- Housing Material: 17-4 PH stainless steel construction across all models.
- Process Connections & Accessories: Optional rod ends (MREC-M6M, MREC-M12M, etc.) and load buttons (MLBC-M6, MLBC-M12, etc.) are available to match specific capacity ranges. Compatible meters include iSeries, DP41-S, and DP25B-S.
Key Product Differences
The LCM series is divided into two model families based on the electrical interface:
- LCM101 (Cable Style): Models such as LCM101-10 through LCM101-10K feature an integrated 4-conductor shielded cable. Wire gauge varies by capacity, with 24 AWG for <100 kgf and 20 AWG for ≥250 kgf.
- LCM111 (Connector Style): Models such as LCM111-10 through LCM111-10K feature a connector interface. The specific connector type depends on the capacity: PT06F8-4S for ≤100 kgf and PT06F10-6S for ≥250 kgf.
Physical dimensions (A, B, C, D, E) scale with capacity. For example, the 10 to 100 kgf range uses an M6 x 1.00 thread and measures 64 mm in overall length (E), while the 5 K to 10 K range uses an M24 x 2.00 thread and measures 108 mm in overall length.

good value load cells
I have 3 of these now (different capacities) . the price is reasonable, Omega is a trusted source and the service and support is very good. Make sure to buy the combined tension-compression for the best usefulness. For power and display I use the Digital Panel meter from Automation direct (yes a competitor) but Omega has a similar unit. Buy extra connectors at Newark and the load cells are plug and play (just change the settings on the display). I would give a 5 star but the spot welded covers for the strain gauge are poor in that they can bend and open up. I tie wrap them shut to prevent any issues. The hardware (buttons and rod ends) are useful but a bit pricey.

Yes, we can do different cable lengths for the LCM111; For the LCM111-10, the standard cable length is 30 ft. ( ~ 10m). You would not need a cable assembly for this load cell. Please call or email us anytime if you have any further questions. Thank you.

Hello I would like to know the excitation voltage of your load cells, I have a datalogger that provides 3.0 V of bridge excitation for powering the bridge. Thank you
Dear Jesus, you must be able to drive the load cells with 3.0 Volts DC. The Load cell sensitivity is 3.0 mV/V nominal, so you will get 9.0 mV at max load at 3.0 Volts DC excitation.
