Supported Applications
The Omega SPRTX-SS Series is a miniature, splash-proof connector/transmitter designed for direct attachment to sanitary Pt100 sensors with M12 connectors. The device features an integral shielded cable and built-in transmitter housing intended for use with clean-in-place (CIP) sanitary Pt100 probes.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series accepts RTD, Pt100 inputs following the 0.00385 curve in either 3 or 4-wire configurations via an M12 style, 4-pin female connector. It provides a linearized 4 to 20 mA dc output over specified input ranges of -99 to 208°C (SPRTX-SS1) and 2 to 569°C (SPRTX-SS2). Performance specifications include an accuracy of ±0.5% FS @ 23°C (73°F), repeatability of ±0.25°C (0.5°F), and a temperature effect of ±0.00022 mA/°C (0.00012 mA/°F). The unit operates within an ambient temperature range of -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F) with upscale break protection.

The SPRTX-SS Series is configured for specific input ranges and wiring options. Key configurable dimensions include:

- SPRTX-SS1-M12-(*): Input range -99 to 208°C.

The final segment of the model number specifies the wiring option: "1" for Wiring Option #1 or "2" for Wiring Option #2.
