Supported Applications

The Omega M12C Series consists of Micro-DC cable assemblies designed for connecting probes, sensors, and transmitters. These extension cables facilitate signal transmission in industrial temperature measurement systems utilizing RTD or thermistor technologies.

  • Sensor to transmitter connections
  • Probe extensions with 4-pin connectivity

Operating Conditions & Performance

The M12C series features gold-plated contacts within the M12 female connector interface. Cable insulation and jacketing are available in PVC or Polyurethane (PUR) to suit different environmental needs.

Cable lengths vary by configuration, with documented options including 1.5 m, 2 m (6.5'), 3 m, 5 m (16.4'), 10 m (32.6'), 12.5 m, 15 m, and 20 m.

Configuration Options

The series supports multiple configurations defined by the model number guide: M12C-<INSULATION>-<CONNECTION>-<LENGTH>-<CONNECTOR_TYPE>.

Jacket and Insulation Materials

  • PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
  • PUR (Polyurethane)

Connector Configurations

Cables are available with M12 female connectors in straight or angled orientations. Electrical connection options include:

  • M12 connector on one end and stripped leads on the other
  • M12 plug to M12 socket (straight-to-straight, straight-to-angled)

Field Mountable Connectors

The series includes field installable 4-pin M12 connectors with screw type terminals. Available models include:

  • M12-S-F-FM: Straight M12 socket - field mountable
  • M12-R-F-FM: Angled M12 socket - field mountable
  • M12-S-M-FM: Straight M12 plug - field mountable
  • M12-R-M-FM: Angled M12 plug - field mountable

Pinout Color Codes

The 4-pin configuration follows the standard color code:

  • Pin 1: Brown
  • Pin 2: White
  • Pin 3: Blue
  • Pin 4: Black

Key Product Differences

Variants within the M12C series are distinguished by insulation material, connector orientation (straight vs. angled), and cable length.

PUR variants typically offer lengths of 2 m, 5 m, 10 m, 12.5 m, and 25 m with straight or right-angle connections ending in stripped leads or M12 sockets. PVC variants include similar configurations plus specific plug-to-socket assemblies (e.g., Straight M12 plug to Angled/Straight M12 socket) at lengths of 2 m and 5 m.

Field mountable connector options are distinct from the pre-assembled cable models, providing standalone connectors for custom installations.

Good morning, I would like to use the M12 Cable, 4 pin, for Transmitters, RTD, Thermistor in one work with pH sensors, but couldn't find information about the nominal resistance, impedance and ampacity of this model. What are these specs? Thank you.

Asked by: Anonymous
Those specific specifications are not provided for these cable assemblies. The Resistance would be based on the length of the cable and the Resistance per foot of pure Copper wire of 24 AWG.

What code of M12 connector does this cable use? Specifically the straight connectors on sides A and B?

Asked by: Paul A
Hi Paul- Thank you for you inquiry. The M12C series follows the A-coded connectors for both straight and right angle. The color code pin-out also can be found on the data sheet
