Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series LPG5 consists of 2.5" low pressure gauges designed for the measurement of compatible gases and liquids. The series is documented for air flow indication, liquid level monitoring, and draft measurement applications.

Operating Conditions & Performance

Series LPG5 units feature a chrome-plated steel housing with brass wetted parts (brass connection, bronze tube) and a polycarbonate lens. The gauges operate within an ambient temperature range of -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C). Performance is specified at ± 3-2-3% FS accuracy on dual-scale dials.

Measurement ranges span from low differential pressures up to higher static pressures, including:

  • Inches of water column (in w.c.): 0 to 10 in w.c. (0 to 2.5 kPa), 0 to 15 in w.c. (0 to 3.75 kPa), 0 to 35 in w.c. (0 to 8.75 kPa), and 0 to 60 in w.c. (0 to 15 kPa).
  • Pounds per square inch (psi): 0 to 5 psi (0 to 35 kPa), 0 to 10 psi (0 to 70 kPa), 0 to 100 psi (0 to 25 kPa), and 0 to 200 psi (0 to 50 kPa).

Pressure limits are rated at the full-scale range. The overall gauge size is 2.5" (63 mm) diameter with a weight of 8 oz (227 g). Process connections are provided as 1/4" male NPT.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable mounting options and specific model codes to address different pressure ranges. Key configuration parameters include:

  • Housing & Materials: Chrome plated steel housing; brass connection with bronze tube wetted parts.
  • Dial Configuration: Dual scales on a 2.5" dial face.
  • Process Connection Location: Available in bottom or back mount configurations.
  • Model Numbering Logic: Models follow the format LPG5--. For example, changing "22N" to "42N" designates a back connection option versus a bottom connection.

An optional NIST traceable calibration certificate is available using order code NISTCAL-PG1.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the Series LPG5 are distinguished by their specific pressure range and connection orientation. The model chart defines distinct part numbers for each combination:

  • In w.c. Ranges (Bottom Connection): Models include LPG5-D8022N (0 to 10 in w.c.), LPG5-D8122N (0 to 15 in w.c.), LPG5-D8222N (0 to 35 in w.c.), and LPG5-D8422N (0 to 60 in w.c.).
  • psi Ranges (Bottom Connection): Models include LPG5-D9922N (0 to 5 psi), LPG5-D0022N (0 to 10 psi), LPG5-D8622N (0 to 100 psi), and LPG5-D8822N (0 to 200 psi).
  • Back Connection Variants: Equivalent ranges are available with back connections by substituting the "42" suffix for the "22" suffix in the model number (e.g., LPG5-D8042N, LPG5-D9942N).

All units carry a USA: California Proposition 65 warning regarding cancer and reproductive harm.
