Supported Applications

The Omega IF-006 (-NA) Series is a modular, wireless universal smart interface designed for use with Omega Link Smart Probes. It creates a universal solution for various sensor applications including temperature, humidity, pressure, light, thermocouple, RTD, process, count, pulse, load cell, and heat flux measurements.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The interface features robust sub-GHz wireless communication operating at 915 MHz. Wireless range extends up to 1.2 km in low power mode or up to 3.2 km in high power mode, measured with clear line of sight; actual range may vary depending on the environment.

Environmental specifications for the base unit include an operating temperature of -20°C to 70°C (-4°F to 158°F) and a humidity rating of 90% RH non-condensing. The enclosure carries an IP65 environmental rating.

Battery life varies by power setting and update interval: Low Power mode with a 2-minute update yields approximately 2 years, while a 90-minute update extends battery life to over 5 years using the included 2x C-Cell alkaline batteries. High Power mode provides approximately 1 year at a 2-minute update or 3 years at a 90-minute update.

Configuration Options

The series utilizes modular M12 connectivity to snap together with smart probes, supporting the Omega Link ecosystem and SYNC configuration software. Security features include AES256 encryption and elliptic-curve cryptography. The device supports one-button pairing with the Omega Link Gateway.

Power Options

• Battery: 2x C-Cell alkaline batteries (included).
• External Power: Optional 5 VDC @ 1.75 W via a universal AC adapter with M8 connector.

The overall dimensions are 109.22 mm W x 81.28 mm L x 55.88 mm H (4.3" W x 3.2" L x 2.2" H), including mounting tabs.
