Supported Applications

The Omega CG Series comprises liquid tight cord grips and strain reliefs designed for use in machines and enclosures. These components provide maximum strain relief, gas tightness, and water tightness at cable entry points.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within an ambient temperature range of -25 to 100°C (-13 to 212°F). Metric models achieve an IP68 rating when installed without seal rings. The construction features a Polyamide 6 body with a Neoprene® seal.

Configuration Options

The CG Series offers multiple configurations including cord grips, cable glands, locknuts, and neoprene seal rings available in gray or black finishes. Selection is based on thread size, clamping range, and component type.

• Cord Grips with Strain Relief: Available for ⅛ NPT (3 to 8 mm), ¼ NPT (3 to 7 mm), ½ NPT (5.5 to 12 mm), M16 (3 to 8 mm), and M20 (3 to 7 mm or 5.5 to 12 mm).
• Cable Glands with Strain Relief: Offered in thread sizes from ⅛ NPT through 1 NPT, as well as metric threads M16, M20, and M25. Clamping ranges vary by model, such as 3 to 9 mm for ¼ NPT or 7 to 14 mm for M20.
• Locknuts: Sold separately in gray and black variants for thread sizes including ⅛ NPT through 1 NPT (NPT) and M16, M20, and M25 (Metric).
• Neoprene Seal Rings: Available as separate accessories for ⅛ NPT, ¼ NPT, ⅜ NPT, and 1 NPT threads.

The series supports both Imperial (NPT) and Metric thread standards. Dimensional data is provided in millimeters with inch equivalents for parameters including overall length, locknut width, and thread diameter across the various sizes.

Variants within the CG Series are distinguished by their primary function (cord grip versus cable gland), color finish (gray or black model numbers), and specific clamping ranges. Locknuts and seal rings are cataloged as distinct components from the main cord grips and glands, with separate part numbering for each thread size.
