Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series LF442 provides pressure measurement ranges from vacuum to 15,000 psi. Accuracy is specified as 1% of span for this series model. The gauges utilize Type 316 stainless steel tubes and sockets with threaded restrictors.

Standard filling medium is glycerine, rated for +20°F to +150°F. Silicone fill is available by special order for -40°F/150°F service. A safety warning notes that misuse may cause explosion; users must read ANSI B40.1 before installation or use. Glycerine can combine with strong oxidizing agents including chlorine, nitric acid, and hydrogen peroxide to result in an explosion.

Configuration Options

The series supports multiple mounting configurations and case styles across the broader Weiss industrial gauge family:

• Housing Materials: Type 304 stainless steel cases with polished stainless steel crimped rings.
• Process Connections: 1/4" NPT bottom or center back connections are available depending on the specific model configuration.
• Wetted Parts: Series LF442 features Type 316 stainless steel tubes and sockets with threaded restrictors. Other series models may utilize Phosphor Bronze, Brass, or Type 304 stainless steel components.
• Dial & Window: White aluminum dials with black and red markings; safety glass windows are standard for the LF442 model.
• Mounting Options: The series supports Front Flange (Series LF442F) and Back Flange (Series LF442BF) mounting configurations. U-Clamp options exist in related 2 1/2" models but are not listed for the 4" LF442.
• Pointer: Black anodized aluminum pointers with micro-adjustable features on select series variants.
