Supported Applications

The Omega SCE-TJ Series consists of through-junction wall mount electrical enclosures designed to house electrical controls, instruments, and components. These units are intended for indoor or outdoor environments where protection against the ingress of solid foreign objects and water (rain, sleet, snow) is required.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series provides environmental sealing defined by specific enclosure ratings based on material selection:

• 304 Stainless Steel Models: UL Listed Type 4, 4X and 12; CSA Type 4, 4X and 12; NEMA Type 4, 4X, 12 and Type 13; IEC 60529 IP66.
• Carbon Steel Models: UL Listed Type 4 and 12; CSA Type 4 and 12; NEMA Type 4, 12 and Type 13; IEC 60529 IP66.

The enclosures feature continuously welded seams ground smooth, flange trough collars, oil-resistant gaskets, and a gray powder coating finish. Construction utilizes 0.063" Carbon or 304 Stainless Steel housing material.

Configuration Options

The SCE-TJ series is available in multiple configurations to accommodate different installation needs:

• Housing Materials: Carbon steel with gray powder coating finish; 304 stainless steel (dimensions are the same for 304 SS models).
• Sizes: Height of 9 inch, depth of 6 inch, and widths ranging from 12 to 36 inch.
• Viewing Windows: Models with viewing windows (suffix W) are available. The door has a single window when the viewing area width is ≤ 406 (16); doors have two windows if the viewing width would be > 406 (16).
• Latching Hardware: Standard black mini quarter-turn latches; padlocking or keylocking latches and tamper-resistant hardware are available options.

The series includes mounting feet, sealing washers, hole plugs, ground studs on the door and body, removable hinges, and standoffs for mounting optional sub-panels. Mounting holes in the back of the enclosure facilitate wall installation.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the SCE-TJ series are distinguished by material composition, presence of a viewing window, and physical dimensions:

• Model Numbering: The guide follows the format SCE-L<WIDTH>ELJ - <WINDOW> - <MATERIAL>. Examples include SCE-L9126ELJ (Carbon Steel, 12 inch width), SCE-L9126ELJW (with Window), and SCE-L9126ELJSS (304 Stainless Steel).
• Sub-Panels: Corresponding sub-panels are available for each enclosure size. For example, the 12 inch width enclosure pairs with model SCE-9P12L.
