Supported Applications

The Omega MJP series consists of miniature jack panel assemblies designed to accept all miniature male thermocouple connectors. These snap-in assemblies are intended for mounting in rectangular cutouts within control panels or instrumentation enclosures, providing a centralized interface for multiple temperature sensor connections.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The connector bodies are molded from high-impact plastic with a maximum service temperature of 205°C (401°F). The panel substrate is machined from rugged aluminum featuring a brushed finish and clear anodizing to provide durability and corrosion resistance. No specific pressure, vibration, shock, or humidity ratings are provided for this series.

Configuration Options

The MJP series offers configurable circuit densities arranged in 1, 2, 3, or 4 rows with varying circuits per row to accommodate different panel space requirements. The panels include loose ID labels supplied by the customer for field identification and come equipped with dust caps (MPJ-CAP-12, pkg of 12).

Available thermocouple calibrations correspond to standard miniature connector types:

  • Type J
  • Type K (including KI)
  • Type T (including TI)
  • Type E
  • Type N (including NI)
  • Type R/S
  • Type U

Custom configurations are available through the Custom Engineering Department for non-standard panels, including options with switches or meters. A minimum order of $1,000 applies to special custom color-coded anodized panels.

Key Product Differences

Variants differ by total circuit count and row configuration. Standard off-the-shelf sizes follow the model number guide: MJ

-<Circuits Per Row>-<Number of Rows>-<Thermocouple Calibration>. For example, MJP3-54-K denotes a triple-row color-coded jack panel with Type K connectors.

Panel dimensions vary by row count and circuits per row. The series supports 1 to 4 rows with lengths ranging from 45 mm (1.75") for single-row configurations up to larger multi-row assemblies. Mounting holes are spaced at 3.3 mm (0.13") on both sides, with a diameter of 3.3 mm (0.13").

We will mount MJP3-18-K jack panel on our NEMA 12 panel. Does it have any NEMA rating? How can we keep it N12 rating?

Asked by: Larry Song
Thank you for your inquiry. The MJP3 series and the rest of our panels do not have any NEMA rating. You cannot keep it at a N12 rating.
