Operating Conditions & Performance
The TMI Series delivers power ratings from 3 kW to 50 kW across a range of configurations. Electrical supply options include 240 and 480 Vac, available in both 1 phase and 3 phase connections. The heaters feature a steel flange process connection ranging from 3" to 8", rated at 150 lb. Key construction specifications include:
- Sheath Material: Incoloy® with a diameter of 0.475" (1.2 cm).
- Housing Material: Steel Flange.
- Media Compatibility: Severe Corrosive Solutions.
Certifications for the series include UL, CSA, and NRTL/C approvals depending on the enclosure type selected. Units equipped with Explosion Resistant Enclosures carry CSA NRTL/C certification; these specific enclosures are not intended for use in hazardous areas.
Configuration Options
The series supports multiple enclosure types to accommodate different environmental requirements, identified by suffix codes or model prefixes:
- E-1 General Purpose Enclosure: Standard configuration available across various power ratings.
- E-2 Moisture Resistant / Explosion-Resistant Enclosure: Provides protection against moisture and offers explosion-resistant features for specific non-hazardous applications.
- E-3 Explosion Resistant Enclosure: Designed for environments requiring enhanced containment, certified by CSA NRTL/C.
- E-4 Moisture Resistant Enclosure: An alternative moisture protection option available in select configurations.
Electrical connections utilize heavy-duty jumper straps and terminal posts. The model number guide follows the format TMI-<kW>-<Voltage>-<Phase>-<Enclosure Type>. For 3 phase power, add the suffix "/3P" to the model number (e.g., TMI-6095/240/3P). Voltage must be designated explicitly as "240" for 240 Vac or "480" for 480 Vac. Larger flange sizes and kW ratings beyond standard offerings are available upon contact with OMEGALUX®.
