The series is specifically intended for applications requiring rugged heating elements capable of withstanding harsh media.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The TMIS Series utilizes a 0.475" diameter Incoloy sheath construction, providing the necessary durability for severe service conditions. The heaters operate at an element loading density of 15 W/in² and are available in power ratings from 2 kW to 24 kW. Electrical supply is configured for 240 V or 480 V, 3 phase operation. Safety compliance includes UL Listed and CSA Certified status when equipped with General Purpose or Moisture Resistant enclosures.

Operational safety requires the use of approved pressure and/or temperature limiting controls to ensure safe function in the event of system malfunctions. The series features heavy-duty jumper straps and terminal posts for electrical connections.

The model number guide follows the format TMIS-<kW><FLANGE_SIZE>L/*/<PHASE>, where voltage is designated by inserting values such as 240 or 480. Larger flange sizes and kW ratings beyond standard listings are available upon request.

Overall dimensions vary based on the selected power rating and flange size:

• B Dimension (Length): Ranges from 46 cm to 122 cm (18 1/16 inches to 48 1/16 inches).
• N3 Dimension: Fixed at 2.54 cm (1 inch) across configurations.

Wetted Materials & Construction

The wetted materials consist of an Incoloy sheath and a stainless steel flange. The housing material is specified as Stainless Steel Flange, with the enclosure rated General purpose NEMA 1 (other enclosures available).

Variations within the TMIS Series are distinguished by flange diameter and corresponding power capacity:

• 3-Inch Flange Models: Offered in 2 kW, 4 kW, and 6 kW ratings with three Incoloy elements.
• 5-Inch Flange Models: Available in 4 kW, 8 kW, and 12 kW ratings utilizing six Incoloy elements.
